This is the 2nd PBN Kit That I Have Purchased from This Company. Best Kits I Have Found So Far (I have completed MANY PBN kits from different manufacturers). Cons: Small Brush but One of the Better Quality Brushes I’ve Received with PBNs (at this point I have my own personal set I use for PBN kits) ; Need to mix Paint Colors (Strengthens you as an artist/crafter, so it is a good thing too. Pain when you want to just zone—but Don’t Change This Feature!) PROS: Quality Materials; Cannot Beat the Price for What is Included (some of these are upwards of $40-$50 from independent artists), Paint Has EXCELLENT Coverage, Some Transparent Ones That Need an Extra Coat (I use a white gel pen to cover numbers if needed); Quality Heavy Duty Board; Clear Directions; Gives a Nice Little Challenge but No Headaches; Lovely Finished Piece of Artwork These Kits Would Make a Fabulous Gift (& reflect well upon the giver). Please Make More of These with Historic Art Themes or Fun Modern Twists Like Banksy or Colorful/ Edgy Color Palette Portraits (Frida Kahlo), Monuments, National Parks— Thanks!

This is my first PBN kit. It was fun, and very forgiving of mistakes. I actually liked that it was on a board vs. canvas—I purchased 3 other canvas kits and I want/need to learn how to apply clear gesso first as recommended. With this kit I could just jump right in. Some reviewers didn’t like that you have to mix paints to get some colors. I found it easy and fascinating to see the color that resulted from base colors. I bought my own brushes because a lot of people say the ones that come with kits aren’t great quality. I prefer easy-grip, flat brushes of all sizes—the little ones can be used to do quite detailed painting. All in all, this is a nice kit and a beautiful picture.

I adore the tagboard paint by numbers and they are extremely hard to find these days. Super relaxing, easy, size is affordable to frame, but some of the paints (as all kits in my experience) have paints that don't cover well and/or paint that has gone rotten. Would buy again and just used my own paint to make the colors they went bad.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a great looking painting. I didn’t realize I’d have to mix some of the colors myself. I didn’t mind, just be aware. The paints are flat, not glossy and have good coverage. This painting is pretty easy. The painting comes on a heavy paper board, not a canvas. I went ahead and gessoed before beginning. Be sure to have flow aid on hand as some of the paint was a bit thick. The finished product fit in a regular frame, another bonus. Design: Adorable

I've purchased a few PBN kits recently. They're all fun, some more difficult than others, but a great way to relax and create something. This is the first one I bought from this brand. I was expecting it to be similar to the others as far as the paint quality and supplies. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the it's a step above. The others are fine, no complaints, however, with this kit, the paint pots are bigger, the paint smoother, the brush is good quality, and you can link and unlink the paint pots! You can make one big circle in numerical order, or you can unlink and rearrange them however you like. And the tops are easy to open and close. The canvas board is sturdy and the lines and numbers/letters are clear. The instructions are thorough and there are helpful tips on the box for how to achieve more painterly effects if you don't want it to look like a PBN painting. Overall, I'm impressed with this brand and would highly recommend it to others.

So much nicer than other paint by numbers that I have gotten. The paints are easy to close and separate from each other. The painting itself is on a hard board that doesn’t bend. It was easy to read and easy to paint. I loved it.

I was a bit disappointed that I need to mix paints to get most of the paints but it was a good experience and I liked it. I had the chance to choose my color tones. The paint quality is also really good. The only complaint I have is I wish they’d put a tool to mix paints. I had to use household stuff as a mixing tool.

This was a fun paint-by-numbers to do, with a great final product. Somewhat challenging because it comes with 12 colors, and then some of those need to be mixed in equal parts to create 16 new colors! Paint dries quickly (which can be good if you are impatient like me and want to avoid smudging)! When working with the mixed colors, using a wet brush or adding a tiny bit of water to the mixed paint can buy you some time if they are drying out (I mixed mine on a disposable plate with a small palette knife). Some of the colors didn't look all that different so I wonder if all the mixing was necessary. Nonetheless, the paints are vibrant and provide good coverage. The brush that comes with this kit is FANTASTIC and made it very easy to do the super fine lines and details. I usually end up using one of my own brushes on paint-by-numbers, but the included brush is better than any that I own! The poster-board also warped slightly, but that could probably be fixed if the picture is framed.
