The cutlery tray which my dishwasher arrived with sat in a space at the front centre of my dishwasher, which virtually precluded putting plates in the front slots on either side.This cage has a couple of vertical slots which allow the caddy to sit astride the vertical prongs which are placed to support plates. I can now put the caddy offset to one side, leaving room for plates etc in the rack on the other side. [see image]If you want to do the same, you need to measure, to ensure: a) The "slots" are tall enough for the plate supports b) the front to back size of the caddy will fit in the appropriate place in your dishwasher.The separate slots on the periphery for teaspoons etc are a great idea, leaving more room for other larger items in the main basket.A thoughtfully designed piece of equipment!.

It exactly what it is. Looks identical to original one.Makes sure handle is fully clicked in other when you lift out of dishwasher with clean cutlery in. Handle pops off and all ends on floor.Once handle fully clicked on this downs happen

I liked this product because it is sturdy & value for money as it is as cheaper than the Hotpoint original item. Perfect fit.

Updated review: Had this for a couple of weeks, the handle basically no longer attaches to the main basket with any kind of adhesion, it will go on but put a few knives and forks in the basket and it'll come off. There's nothing really holding it on there. I found out as the handle came off scattering my cutlery all over the floor. Basically not fit for purpose - avoid.Old review:due to the design, there's a lot of plastic and the spaces for cutlery are actually fairly small. If you use a lot of cultery i'd use something else. We're a family of 4 and it is just too small for us really but will persist with it for a bit see how we get on. good quality and nothing inherently wrong with it, just baskets are too small.

We bought a new dishwasher and were not getting on with the cutlery rack. Having started to regret our new purchase I decided to remove the cutlery rack and buy a basket. It was a risk but this basket has saved our purchase decision. Very happy and would recommend, great value for money!
