These are a staple in our household when the teenage athlete needs quick healthy energy before practice and has no time for a meal. A Clif bar and a piece of fruit will do it. Most of the flavors have way too much sugar for him though. The least sweet are the Chocolate Chip and the Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter, so these are the only kind we get. That said, ordering them by the box from Amazon is WAY cheaper than buying singles, or getting the boxes at the grocery store.

These are some of my go-to Clif bars. This flavor is usually cheaper than the others, but it's also one of my favorites. It's pretty sweet, sort of like a hearty chocolate chip cookie, but it provides a nice energy boost on trails or a morning pick-me-up. I'm a repeat customer.

The Clif Bar is great tasting. It has a good texture. My one issue with it is the size. (and it is not really a huge issue) I always seem to feel full or at least done with the bar prior to finishing the bar.

I have never been a fan of clif bars while in the military, they were just too available and had little gain compared to other products available at the time. Now however they provide a decent meal replacement, although not designed for this. I can eat a meal....being somewhat larger than most bars. This helps me feel full instead of lacking. Decent flavor, not exactly health food but worth a look at.
