Not a game?
When this arrived it appeared to have just been thrown into its box with no care taken to ensure all the parts were together. So looking at it really confused me as there were no instructions.Sorry to say but I binned it because I just don’t have the patience to sit and sort it out.I gave it 3 stars as the board was a decent quality.

Package
The item seems fine but a big sticker was stuck to the front of it which wouldn't peel off. Not great for a gift.

Great for times tables practise!
Some children learn by seeing, some by saying and some by doing. This will sort of cover all three, but it is particularly important for the doers! Learning by doing is probably the least well covered in the school curriculum. It's done in Early Years classrooms, but after that is it badly done. So much so that most Prisoners are those that learn by doing. So really we owe it to children to give them practical things that they can use to learn with. This mutliplication board fits into that category.I LIKE TO CALL THEM MANIPULATIVES, THINGS THEY HAVE TO COUNT, MOVE AROUND ETC.They are really hot in Denmark with the use of manipulatives, I went to several schools there on a foreign exchange programme and the children have workbooks and use manipulatives to learn to measure, count, add, tesselate etc. Wish more classrooms were like that here.So do I approve of this product, absolutely. It is very simple and easy to use, The fact it's wooden on the whole meets with my approval too. Could be used from 4 to 15 (taking into account Special Needs!)If your child is the sort of learner that needs to do stuff to learn, buy this.Knowing your tables speeds up maths calculations. If you hated Maths at school, don't project this onto your kids. Maths helps you with some many things in life, bill paying, working out interest on loans, budgeting ... maths isn't just for Nerds, it's for everyone!

My daughter actually really enjoyed this
My daughter is really struggling with their times table and I will give absolutely anything her chance to help her. This is a very durable toy that comes with a wooden multiplication board and 100 flash cards. You also get 4 chess pieces and two dice. One thing my daughter did pick up on that she would have preferred is if it went up to the 12 times table instead of 10 by 10. There is two recommended ways to play it the first one is simply by throwing two dice quickly multiplying the numbers to find the answer and occupy it with a game piece and the second is by taking a flash card quickly finding the correct answer on the board and used the game piece to occupy it to win. This game is two to four players. My daughter and I play the second option and use the flash cards to count who's the winner. I wouldn't say this is a game more of an A additional tool to help learn and if your child is a keen learner then they will definitely get some use of this

Great fun and good for kids
This is a really fun boardgame to play with your young children to teach them about multiplication and increase their maths abilities whilst having loads of fun! It's a well made board game that is very easy to play, and once they're learnt how to play, they can play with their siblings and friends. Would recommend!
