Just bought 2 more packs!
At .85$ a unit I am very happy to have enclosures I feel good about selling my jumping spiders in! I don't know why they were assumed to be acrylic by another reviewer because that's not what they claim to be. They are excellent for stacking and maintaining a large amount of (2-4 instar) jumper slings and I will be using these to sell off my lot of slings. I can see these being great for a lot of different types of small insects and arachnid. Thank you to all the sellers who make reasonably priced products for the spider/insect community! We need this stuff!

Needs Smaller Holes
This type of enclosure is so much better to use than deli cups when it's time to separate baby jumping spiders! I love that the lid can stay in place while you open just the hatch for feeding and misting. I have a larger version for tarantula slings, and it's been great!HOWEVER, the first thing I did was to test the gaps and holes by placing a couple adult melanogaster fruit flies in an empty container to see if it held them securely. Within 2 minutes, one of the fruit flies had walked right out through an air hole. I think it will be okay for my jumpers, because they are slightly bigger, but obviously I can't have their food walking out. It might work fine for hydei, but melanogaster is a no go without reinforcement. I'm thinking I might tape over the holes and poke holes in the tape that are a bit smaller, just until the spiders are able to take larger food.UPDATE: I ended up waiting to use these until my jumpers were large enough to eat the larger hydei fruit flies. There's no way the spiders could escape, but I am still having problems with larger fruit flies getting out through the air holes! These enclosures would be so perfect if I didn't have to worry about the prey escaping.

Great size for small but not slings
Flightless fruit flies can get out where the door closes there’s a bit of a gap but it works great for a little bigger spiders.Bought some for my daughters school they are always catching observing and releasing bugs and critters

Do. Not. Buy
I wish I would have read the reviews first. The lids do not stay on, and there is a big slit where the lid is. Tarantulas escaped these boxes, do not buy.
