So far, so good!
I bought this to try out after hand therapy was only partially successful. The downloadable training guide contains easy-to-follow information on warming up the hands/fingers and various stretching exercises. The Gorilla Gripper Grip Strengthener is easy to fit and use and is already having an effect after just a couple of weeks use. The "stretchy" part seems to be quite robust, and although I'm only using it on its lowest level, the exercises are helping my general hand strength and also seem to be helping to release / ease an issue I've had with trigger finger, which neither therapy nor an injection cured. I sail and ski, so it's important for me to retain/improve my grip. Very happy with the product and happy to recommend.

Very decent
I haven’t used them for a while (I got two), but they are very decent and sometimes useful.

Not fit for purpose
The velcro wrist strap was good and felt like a decent quality and the silicon resistance bands felt good quality, though I question whether the thin bands that connect the fingers to the central strap would have lasted a reasonable length of time. Alas, I was never to discover this...The metal connector that connects the resistance band to the wrist strap snapped under stress within a couple of weeks of use. I had only used the two least resistance settings by this point (6.6 and 8.8lbs), using them 3 or 4 times a week and used them as per manufacturer recommendations. I then moved up to 11lb on the grey (so not even got to use the higher resistance band) and it snapped the metal on the first use. It's a pity, as the structure and shape of the band allows for the resistance to act more in the direction of the tendons and ligaments of the fingers, thumb and wrist unlike some of the cheaper alternative designs where the thumb is held at an awkward angle and no resistance is placed on the wrist (but which designs turn out to be more sturdy and reliable than this). This is a big IF but if you know you only need low resistance (i.e. the bottom two resistances of the lower band), and only need to use it for a couple of sets every 2 or 3 days, you may yet find a positive and reliable use of this product. But for anyone else, particularly athletes or regular exercisers, it's totally not fit for purpose.

Genious product !! Seen an improvement already !
I've only had this product a week and already I have seen a huge improvement in my finger strength! I am learning to play the guitar and this has made a huge difference. I have also got my son to use it (who also plays the guitar) and his teacher says he can already see the difference. My husband weight trains a few days a week and I saw him using it whilst watching the TV last night. Great quality, great price and awesome product!!!

It’s okay considering it’s not a very expensive product
I was under the impression that the product would stretch appropriate for the person utilising it; however for me (I have relatively big bands and a personal trainer) I don’t think it’s worth it unless you know they will fit you for effective hand exercises and are comfortable. The elastic material should be more elastic to allow a wide variety of hand sizes to use the product. The rings do not slide down (due to lack of flexibility in the material) far enough on my fingers and therefore do not provide as intense of a contraction in the muscles of the forearm (which appears to be the aim of the product), it feels like I am putting much more strain than necessary on my metacarpals/carpals. Similarly the part that connects to the wrist to stabilise the product and ensure the resistance is similar each time, is not long enough even on the last hole (furthest from the finger attachment rings; there are three total to adjustments that can be used) therefore the Velcro doesn’t really attach flush and creates a lack of stability for me to conduct the exercises in the first place. In my honest opinion, you’d be better off using dumbbells to train your forearms specifically (hammer curls, finger-tip wrist curls etc) for flexion and then utilise some sort of elastic bands/appropriate resistance band for the extension of wrist, hand and or fingers. Although it may not be the most ergonomic alternative to using this product, I feel considering you can use a resistance band for other exercises not limited to hand movement or progressing exercises e.g pull ups for the same price as this product and therefore I’d deem it more value for your money. However if you do buy the product and it does fit well and comfortably, the chances are it will be more effective for you than somebody it does not fit at all. Think about an overweight person at the gym, they may not be able to comfortably use the chest press machine due to their size, and even if they could you’d expect some range of motion to be decreased as they have less room to move, yet if the same person used a smith machine/ free-weight bench press which works the same muscles but now they much more range of movement which will allow a greater recruitment of the musculature thereby improving the effectiveness of the horizontal pressing movement.
