Stainless Steel ?
Very bad tarnishing after washing, extremely difficult to remove. Thought these were stainless steel, more like basic mild steel.Have contacted ProCook who won’t help as “these are knives” and Amazon need to comment.Can’t wait for Amazon on the steel structure of these knives and why they apparently rust.

Get the knives, forget the knife block
Bought this on a bit of an impulse as I wanted a set of decent new kitchen knives and thought the block looked quite stylish. Was disappointed with it when it arrived and have returned for a refund. The knives are excellent quality for the price so suggest just getting them alone. The knife block itself is very tall due to the length of the carving knife in the set (it’s huge) and you have to lift the knives vertically upwards to get them out. So if, like me, you have cupboards above your kitchen surface you might struggle to get the knives out! Entirely my fault for not checking measurements etc, but it’s a bit of a design oversight. I also thought the smoked glass sides looked cheap and plastic-y, and the ProCook logo at the bottom makes it look even cheaper.Also, nothing to do with the product, but shocked at the wastefulness of packaging by Amazon! The knife block was inside a box which was inside a box, and that box and the knife box were then put inside a single large box, which was then wrapped in bubble-wrap and packing paper inside ANOTHER BOX. Five separate cardboard boxes, the last one very large, for a knife block. Absurd.

Excellent quality
I really love this knife block, I only use a few knives so this small one with 5 knives is perfect for all my needs.It looks really stylish and the knives are a really good quality

Looks Amazing
The block is quite tall so be aware that on most worktops if there are cupboards above you will have to move the block to get the knives out.Might just be our kitchen set up though!!!!The colour and style are absolutely amazing.
