Sturdy with a great price!
This thing is solid! I can tell! Excellent to keep the animals out. It definitely needs an extra pair of hands to put it together. It just needs someone to hold onto one side so you dont accidentally unlink a part while linking another. Had it up in no sweat in about 10 minutes. My buddy has one she paid double for in person from the local hardware store, and it appears to be made of cheaper materials!

Great compost maker
Great product. I have some compost almost ready to use already. Also my grand kids really enjoy turning it. š

Easy Peasy!
The only bad part about putting this item together was that the part count shows the flat panel and another panel beside it. With closer inspection, it turned out to be the door that was already out together. I would recommend sliding the door off for construction so you can see the ridges inside for full snapping. Other than that, real quick and my mom is already putting it to use! Really glad I forgot to sweep up those leaves on the carport!

Deceptively well built...looks cheap in pieces, is STURDY when assembled
UPDATE: The bears in the neighborhood woke up from hibernation⦠they knocked the bin over and tried dragging it into the woods by the frame. NO DAMAGE to the bin when I chased them off.OK, my wife wanted a compost bin, so I saw that this one was identical to a brand name compost bin but was HALF the price. The ONLY difference are a couple of brand-name badges. So when you open this thing, you are going to immediately think, what a pile of garbage...these multiple pieces of plastic are not going to stay together or hold any weight...and like me, you'd be wrong! Once assembled, this thing is STURDY! It has been through several storms with 60+ mph winds and it still where we put it. It is something that you would think would not hold up, but so far, we are VERY impressed.

Does not hold food waste
This product snapped together with ease. But when I place compost matter into the barrel, it fell apart. But it was easy to snap back together even when partially assembled. As soon as the compost material was added back into the barrel, it fell apart again.

If It Only Worked
The compost tumbler is fairly well designed and sturdy. The instructions were pretty clear. The design accuracy is not perfect. A couple of the panels did not line up perfectly, and it caused the panels to buckle in places. However, this did not adversely affect the function of the product. Now for the bad news, the tumbler is not heating up. I filled the tumbler with horse manure and fine wood chip bedding(think large sawdust) at about a 20:1 ratio of bedding to manure. I used rain water to wet the contents, and it has about 65% moisture content. The contents are not getting hot at all. In fact I believe the only warmth I'm feeling is from the sun heating up the black plastic of the tumbler. When I open a door and stick my hand in, the air is a little warmer than the ambient air outside of the tumbler. When I put my hand deep into the composting material, it is cooler than the air in the composter. I have the composter placed in a sunny spot hoping to help heat up the contents. I created a large compost pile on the ground using the same horse manure and bedding along with some grass clippings and leaves. The large pile is already hot. My conclusion is that the compost tumbler is too small to develop much of a thermophilic reaction. I was concerned about the small size of the chambers when I was putting it together. I considered leaving out the center partition, but was afraid that it might needed for the structural integrity. I even read all the asked questions on the product to see if anyone else had asked about removing the center partition. If anyone can point out anything I'm doing wrong, I'd be pleased to hear from you.

Easy to build
Didn't take me long to build alone. Was looking for a small compost solution as someone who doesn't make a whole lot of food waste in an apartment situation. Its outside by the trash cans, and we do have raccoons but they've never gotten into it after several months of use. I have a very lax way of doing composting, so we'll see how it turns out, but I basically add dry weeds and grass and shredded paper with every bucket of compost. Its still not full and I turn it about weekly and whenever else I think about it. Its holding up well, just gotta click everything into place and its good. I'm sure it DOES leak, but where its by my trashcans it just doesn't bother me. You could I guess collect the juices as compost tea if you placed an oil pan under it. Easy to turn and to lock, as a small woman with not a lot of muscle. The gloves included were nice, I just use them for garden and DIY stuff. Good quality.
