Just when I thought night hunting couldn't get any better, the ATN Thor 5 XD LRF proved me wrong! I have had several thermals. The single issue I have had with most is overcoming the technology. Most are not user friendly and are poorly thought through. ATN is currently the easiest to understand and program.That above other things makes it my thermal of choice. Technology HAS to be EASY for a hunter to remember from season to season how the thermal functions.

this is not a cheap thermal optic but it works very well. heat signatures pop out. I have been hunting wild boar with it.glad I purchased it. battery has work well for me I also purchased a backup charger. sighting in I recommend using a piece of aluminum foil on the targets instead of getting specialized ones.

I planned to trade in and upgrade from a ThOR4 to the new ThOR5 XD LRF. I decide to keep the old scope and buy the new XD. I got the 4-40x LRF and it's amazing! I have the very first one delivered to a retail customer. Each firmware release has improved functionality and image quality. ATN customer service is first class. They have answered all my questions and concern promptly. My scope has worked perfectly since I got it. Read the manual, and then read it again, then set up the scope, while reading the manual! Most problems are operator error and not reading the manual!

Bought two Thor 5 units. Love them both!
