Wonderful book
I ordered it for my daughter who currently studies in year 9. She has found the book immesnely useful. The answer sheet is available from the publisher's website, so it's easy to do the marking once sh finishes the questions.

Really good
Bought this book because many of my teachers teach from this book. A very thick book with tons of information and practice questions for revision.

Unable to find answers
The book stand-alone is good but I cant find the answers after exhaustive search through google. Kerboodle does not provide answers nor does Oxford University Press.

Excellent KS3 Maths Books with Challenge and Plenty of Practice.
The STP Mathematics 7-9 series is excellent. These were in use at my old school and I have now purchased a set for myself for when I teach at my new school. Questions are well differentiated and towards the end of the exercises have a good level of challenge with worded questions been used extensively (very helpful to prepare for the new GCSE). PDF's of the answers are available online for teachers and parents (google them), but are not in the back of the book. Last year I have taught from the year 8 and 9 books and found both to be excellent. The only drawback that I have found is with this series is that some topics in the year 9 book, for example trig and factorising, are split into multiple exercises. So there would be one exercise on finding angles using tan and one exercise finding angles using sine. I prefer to teach all at once and then have the students working on mixed angle exercises. However, these are also provided and you can direct students to choose one question from each exercise for example. Another recommendation is that you proof read or do a mix of the questions from each exercise. There are some worded ones with terminology the kids might need help with - quarterly provided a big barrier..! - and some of the higher ability questions sneak in previous concepts- worth watching for if you are not teaching in the book order. All in all, lots of practice, suitable as a standalone course for each year, answers available (although some inevitable errors exist, the kids love finding them!), fantastic level of challenge, loads of practice and questions differentiated so suitable for a mixed ability class. Well done STP!
