Cumbia - Huila 100% Single Origin Colombian Gourmet Ground Coffee 10-ounce Bag

Since the ONE review on this coffee wasn't exactly believable (that it was from a consumer), I thought I would write a review myself. ;-)I have read that the best types of coffees are single origin coffees that are wet-processed. Believe it or not, switching to coffee with these parameters after drinking Yaucono or Lavazza for many years (I still like Yaucono, though!), when I taste Lavazza again after drinking a wet-processed coffee, I began to recognize the acidity and lack of smoothness in these coffees. When I return to a single origin, wet-processed coffee, I can tell the difference!I ordered this one based on the fact that the website states it is SO/WP coffee, and it felt rather risky since there were no "real" reviews. I follow a Ketogenic eating plan, and love putting grass-fed butter and MCT oil in my coffee (put it in a blender!). The coffee smelled wonderful when I opened the bag, so I made a few cups. The coffee tasted smooth with seemingly low acidity - and this was with a coffee maker, not even with a French press! I like to taste the coffee with the butter in it before adding raw cacao powder because the butter really brings the flavors out! This coffee IS delicious and quite aromatic. I didn't find the taste to be overwhelming at all - it's a very nice bean. Once I added the raw cacao powder and a packet of stevia, I must have finished the coffee within 15 minutes, which NEVER happens!For the time-being I am assigning 4 stars because while it probably won't be my favorite coffee on earth, it is still a wonderful coffee. I just wish it had a few more undertones, like chocolate or berry undertones. If I drink more of it and discover they are there and I just didn't notice right away, I will return and raise the stars to 5.Salud!UPDATE: After having finished my first bag of Huila, I am returning to assign 5 stars. It's not because I suddenly found it had these amazing undertones, but out of all the coffees I have purchased that were single origin, wet-processed coffees, this one was the most delicious. It barely lasted two weeks in our house. What's more, it's rare when my husband randomly comments on coffee, and he loved this coffee. For me, I can't wait until they have their organic coffee in place as I will be first in line!

This coffee is very good. I purchased it because it is from Huila, and it only suffers in comparison to Juan Valdez Single Origen Huila coffee. It is good stuff, but I'll spend a little more and get the Juan Valdez when it is available.

This is a coffee with excelent taste, the best of Arabiga world! Cumbia is a good product packed in origin that guarantee 100% Colombian finest coffee.
