I bought this for my dog who tore his acl, needed surgery, and wasn't allowed to do steps or jump in and out of the car. I had a previous more normal dog ramp that wasn't wide enough for my dog, so I bought this wheel chair ramp because I wanted to make sure my dog was safe. I've mainly used it for my dog to go outside down a couple of patio steps. So I had set in place and it stayed there for weeks. It was very helpful and effective for that. The length was vital and worked well. It was easy to open up and set in place. Sturdy and solid for my 250lb self and 60 lb dog to walk up and down, though it has a little give to it. Since I'm in the midwest, the grip texture is great to prevent slipping most of the time. With snow and ice though, it does get very slick. I shoveled it off and put some pet safe salt on the ramp to prevent that. I did fold it back up and move it to use with my SUV to take my dog for post surgery folowup visits since he's not allowed to jump into car and heavy to lift in.. It does work well for that too and folds up nicely to fit easily in my back seat. However, for a time or two that's great... but for long term use that gets to be old. It's difficult to fold up and put away while also dealing with an excited dog. It also does take up the whole back seat. For my purposes, that was all fine and livable. It's wide width was excellent for my dog, especially when he was unstable with a limp. For long term use, I'd go back to a more compact dog car ramp when he's healed. I think it would do well for its intended purpose of a wheel chair ramp that is occasional use portable.

This is the second ramp I’ve purchased from this manufacturer and I like the strength and portability, and the non-slip texture. It’s easy to use, and then fold up and carry with you if needed. Just get the right length for your steps and the incline will match. This ramp was purchased for a single three inch step.

This ramp was purchased for an aging Chocolate Lab to get in and out of RV. I love it and it works great except the covering is slippery. Also a slight bit heavy to carry. But if using for Wheel Chair it would be perfect. Holds the weight really well.

I’m pretty happy with this ramp. It’s kind of awkward to set up as it the runners fold in and together. But it is easily portable with 2 handles. I’m 110 lbs and it’s alittle bit awkward for me but it is manageable. It’s sturdy, has great slip resistant pads and says weight limits 800 lbs. wanted to make sure it was sturdy enough so my 190 lbs son in a wheelchair won’t be stressed out. He’s very happy with it and that is what’s important.

We recently moved into our new-build retirement house (aka "the death house"), which we had build with future accessibility in mind. Towards that end, the doors are all wide for wheelchairs (though we're not using those yet), a ranch layout, door levers instead of knobs, grab handles in the bathrooms, and a walk-in tub. But we didn't do anything about the curb at the front and garage doors. With my in-laws (both limited mobility) coming for Thanksgiving, we ordered this wheelchair ramp, and it wound up working great. Easily cleared the 3" curb on the front door, with a wide enough lip to keep it secure on the curb. We could have gone shorter (consult the chart in the item pictures), but this should also be long enough to help load mobility scooters in the back of the SUV for outings or repair trips. Light enough for me to easily move, and the lengthwise fold makes it more manageable.

This ramp is great. Sturdy, easy to store when not in use. Perfect for occasionally getting my mom out of the house in her transport chair.

My wife is being released from rehab this week and I was just made aware that she would require a ramp. This is one of the models the doctors recommended. I paid extra freight to get it here in time for her arrival and to get it screwed down. I have to say I am disappointed. My beautiful wife gained 160 pounds a few years ago due to prescription meds she has to take. They likely saved her life but she is now 300 pounds. This ramp bounces like a springboard with my 200 lb weight, particularly in the middle. I fear that she is going to feel very unstable going up this ramp. If it wasn't critical to have it here for her arrival in a few days I would send this back. I am a retired auto mechanic and I understand that aluminum can bend a long ways without breaking but frankly this ramp is scary. I am going to have to support it in the middle with something. Update: Finished the install. I removed the hinges and bolted the two pieces together. Lost less than on inch in width I think, but really stiffened it up. Had to cut off a little angle at the bottom end of the center brace because it was holding up the ramp 3/4" above the concrete floor. Also cut a 2x4 down to fit under the ramp to add support. I needed a permanent installation and feel this was sorely inadequate before mods. If you are looking for something portable this might be just the thing. It is quite light weight in a four foot model. Please note that on the Amazon page it says it is rated at 600 lbs. When you open the box and read the instructions with it you find out the 600 pounds must be divided between two axles; four wheels. Clearly designed more for wheelchair use than going up it with a walker. Update: Seller was very gracious in understanding my frustrations and refunded me all but the freight.

We bought this for our aging german shepherd dog so that she can get into the car. In the past, we tried dog ramps, which were too flimsy and narrow. This ramp is perfect. It is heavy duty, easy to set up and take down, wide enough to accommodate a large dog, has no-slip traction tape to avoid slips and is sturdy to give the dog confidence when walking up the ramp. She took to it immediately. I highly recommend.
