My mom got me one of these a couple years ago, I put it on my car and less than 2 months later it cracked in half. I hadn't hit anything with the front of my car so it seemed to have just cracked on its own.Fast Forward to last week, I bought the licence plate last fall figuring the last breakage was just a fluke and installed it on my trailer before putting it away for winter storage. I got my trailer out of storage and took the trailer on a 200 mile trip and when I arrived at my destination the plate had broken at the 4 license plate bolt points and was gone, all 4 bolts were still securely fastened with pieces of plate still under them.Bottom line, this plate looks amazing but I wouldn't recommend putting it on a vehicle because I had two plates break right after installing them. Would make a good office ornament though or you could put it in your vehicles back window or something. There is a reason it went from the $11.93 I paid for it to the $5.94 it costs now.

As an ASU Sun Devil Alumni, I can't believe I bought this and am actually giving it a 5-star review, but it made my BYU Cougar wife very happy to see it on her car. It looks just as pictured, bright colors, crisp graphic. We will see how is holds up after a summer in the sun. The plastic is thin so don't overdo it when attaching the bolts. My only concern is that it wouldn't take much of a bump or hit to break the thin plastic plate, but if you don't plan on hitting anything with your front bumper, which we don't, then it should look great on the car for years to come.

As others have said this is not a metal license plate insert it is a polyester plastic. Material seems to be durable and I haven’t had any problems with it. Looks great on my BMW! Relocated from Oregon to Arizona and need to keep supporting my alma mater.
