Love this brand's tea. 3 min steep = good flavor and strength. Excellent value. When I purchase a lot of boxes the price is great $ 4-5 a box vs my local grocery store which is $8-9 a box.

For everyone out there who is thinking about trying this particular Assam tea produced and sold by Harrogate, please read what I have written here and lose any qualms you may have. This is a terrific tea for all day long. I've been buying this Harrogate Assam tea for years. Even though I only recently started buying it from Amazon, I've bought 11 boxes and am about to buy 6 more today. I find that selecting this tea for my early morning teatime is best, but there really isn't a bad time for this blend of Assam tea. To answer the question of aroma. I find a subtle aroma with this tea, once in a while. Indian and Ceylon teas are my favorites, and I've drunk them for 60 years. Generally, I've found black teas have a somewhat earthy, but extremely lovely taste to them. The lack of aroma with Assam tea from Harrogate in the reviews is not something that speaks to freshness, in my opinion. Assam tea simply has a subtle aroma, sometimes leading me to believe there is no aroma. In my experience, the tea aroma and the taste for these teas might be dependent on the time of the season it is harvested, the company selling the tea, the company's blending of the tea during production and perhaps, other lesser important issues that I can't speak to. I know that this particular Assam blend of tea from Harrogate has been one of the best black teas I've ever had. Don't hesitate to try other teas from Harrogate. I regularly buy their Ceylon teas, too, but recently, I've bought Assam tea to drink most of the time. And, for those people with imperfectly shipped boxes, I have received tea boxes like that, too. I'm asking you if because some packer or shipper made a mistake, crunched your box so it didn't arrive in pristine condition, did a crunched box affect those absolutely perfect cups of tea that the box contained? Don't think so. Enjoy the tea inside and let it calm you, as it does me. Try this one when you are stressed, you will concentrate on the tea, not the stress, I promise you. Best, Ken

I usually buy another brand of Irish Breakfast, my favorite flavor of UK Breakfast tea. However, I've used Taylors of Harrogate brand before and like the taste and quality of Taylors. I am on a very limited senior income and do not have a car and depend on wonderful Amazon and Walmart+ home delivery. Lately Walmart's teas the brands I usually buy have gone sky high, so I said well let's try Amazon and I found wonderful deals for tea, especially Taylors of Harrogate and an Amazon Brand English Breakfast for an astonishing price of $1.99 and it's wonderful. So, all of you tea enthusiasts try Amazon and especially Taylors of Harrogate.

Good tea. Reminds me of herbal tea. Kind of weak for my taste but I like very strong tea so… If there’s some stronger brand out there this one might be a good entry level lapsang souchong.

This is very strong tea. It is strong in terms of aroma, strength of flavor, and oh may I stress again the key factor here of aroma. The smell of this tea will be overwhelming to some people, and amazing to others. "Smoky" is the word used on the box and frankly, that's good enough a descriptor for me. It conjures up memories or likenings of just about anything involving fire, or fireplaces, or camp fires, or even just the general season of autumn as these things will all involve the smell of smoke. I could picture this tea really hitting the right mark if consumed after spending a long day outdoors in the cold weather. It's a well-made tea. The flavor comes through, the sediment is quite low, the aftertaste is small -- it's a top-shelf product. Just know what you are getting. If you ordinarily drink Darjeeling or Earl Grey and you cannot imagine anything being stronger, then this tea will knock your socks off. Or if you have a hypersensitive sense of smell and are bothered by anything rising above the presence of crackers and bread, then you will probably be overwhelmed by this. Or perhaps you're like me, and you've consumed enough tea to float a battleship. And you've come to a point where you would like to try something new from time to time because, well, life is short. In that case, I'd say give this a try. It is different and it is unique, but it is also well-made and coherent -- there is a method to the madness, as they say. This decaf black tea is amazing, it’s smooth and delicious not bitter at all.

If you’re looking for a nice, full-bodied tea that you want to add milk to, the kind of rich-tasting breakfast variety tea that provides comfort as you wake up, then this is your tea. And it’s a great value for when you don’t want to spend coffee prices but you also don’t want something that came from the grocery store. A great staple tea for my pantry.

The tea itself is good. The black tea flavor is stronger than other brands and sometimes overpowers the bergamot flavor on the tongue, but you can definitely smell the bergamot. I have ordered this twice, and even though I like the minimal packaging, it is not sturdy enough for Amazon delivery. Both packages arrived damaged. It is better to buy it in store.

This a is a very nice tea, very good quality but difficult to find, so stock up as you will nt easily find it in outher supermarket. The price is good too, shame about the shipping charges.
