Great option for your first referee kit (or other uses)
First things first: the instructions listed in the product listing will work, but I had to factory reset each radio first. You may need to consult the instruction manual, but the V6 is reset by holding the [B] and [phone] buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. The V4 is reset by holding the [+], [-], and [phone] buttons together for 5 seconds. Then follow the instructions in the product photos.Now, onto the other stuff...The headsets work great for my application. The earpieces have the little rubber fin that nestles into your ear to prevent it from falling out - it feels like it comes loose, but I haven't had it fall out yet. The mic sensitivity is good and the volume normalization helps so that whistles don't blow out the other users' ears. You can purchase alternate headsets that have a behind-the-ear hook if that's more your style.Audio quality is better than most walkie-talkies, but not as good as cell phone. It's more like a police radio old-style residential landline audio quality.I haven't tested out the ultimate range of these, but have had zero problems covering a soccer pitch. There are an occassional audio dropout, but since it's a persistent duplex connection (not voice or button activated - it's just like a phone call), it's nothing to just ask people to repeat themselves.All in all, I really like this kit for the $130-or so that I got it for.Other notes:*I'm not a fan of the arm straps that are included. They're not bad, I just don't like them. So I got belt clips instead. The clips available for the V4 are nice, but I had to come up with my own solution for the V6 units.*Note, this kit shipped with left-ear headsets, which I couldn't use. The seller fixed me up with replacement right-ear headsets.

Very poor quality
It is extremely difficult to sync all three radios.If it is lucky, they can be sync; however, noise level was too high to communicate.

The headsets worked GREAT!
The Referee System I ordered arrived early! The system worked great as I am a volleyball referee and the system worked wonderful, we had communication the entire night for the frosh, sophomore, JV and Varsity matches. I would tell other sporting officials to consider this option for their future matches!

Good radios for refereeing
I use the radio set to referee soccer games in both the 2 man and 3 man system. Lightweight and easy to program . Once synced the first time very easy to pair up before use for any game

Ear piece stay in small ears and on the move
I bought a pair for reffing field hockey and they are great. The plug isn’t a aux and seems to have a way tighter connection resulting in better quality communication.The ear piece itself has a rubber sleeve/attachment that tucks into the crevice of your ear and is not only comfy for hrs but really stays out when I’m sprinting alongside the players. The little rubber sleeve comes off so I can be disinfected (we share radios with our partner).
