HaogeFemale to Male Boss Adapter Convertor with CP-MAS Arca & Manfrotto Compatible Quick Release Clamp for Manfrotto Tripod Ball Head Clamp Replacement

I have a Manfrotto tripod fitted with a Manfrotto xpro bhq2 ball head and I wanted to be able to use a Smallrig L-Bracket which is Arca-Swiss compatible but not Manfrotto RC2.Haoge make several different adapters and as I didn't fancy taking the ball head apart I ordered this one to try and it works perfectly. It fits straight into my existing Manfrotto clamp and the L-Bracket fits into the top of the adapter and both sides of the connection are rock solid. And because it just clamps in I easily swap over to the RC2 plate on my other camera.

The receiver is well built and fits perfectly on a Manfrotto fluid head, however the receiver is not in line with the mounting plate, consequently one has to use a square Arca plate that has no security screws so that the camera can be rotated to point forward, otherwise the camera will only fit sideways which makes no sense when mounted on a video fluid head.The pracker would work perfectly fine on a ball type head, as this can be rotated accordingly, but I bought the Arca clamp adaptor for a fluid head and my Arca plate is not square so will have to rotate it each time I mount it on the fluid head, which defeats the whole point of using an arca plate

I bought this to convert the ball joint on my Manfrotto tripod to Arca Swiss so that it would accept a Neewer metal 60mm QR plate. This did the job perfectly. It's very well-engineered and the tripod securely holds my Sony A6400 in a SmallRig L-plate. Thoroughly recommend.

This seems solid and well made. I have recently bought a few tripod accessories from unknown Chinese makers, all of which have been perfectly good and cheaper than big brand alternatives. This is a fairly simple piece of kit which seems quite expensive in comparison to some of the others , tripod heads,and lens supports, which are more complex devices. However, it is a fairly niche product so I suppose you have to pay a premium.The Amazon review asks me to rate this for "sheerness" and"thickness" but I can't understand these terms in the context of this item.

The machining is very good quality - I.e. the tapered glides & threaded parts. This equals confident clamping on your arca plate (attached to your camera) and the Manfrotto RC2 fitting on your tripod. It’s handy having the bubble points on the screw & base. The anodising also looks to be good quality although time will tell. Price is fair IMO.

..the tolerance between the main body the slotted spacer is more than I would like so unless you tighten the screw up pretty hard, you will get some play. The main clamp appears to be well-made, the anodising & lettering are to a high quality & the thumbscrew turns smoothly.As far as I can tell, only suitable for ball heads only.

This is a superbly engineered little device and has transformed my Manfrotto quick release head to Arca Swiss.The item is super secure when it is clicked into place on the existing head.The Arca Swiss part works very smoothly.It is extremely made and annodised - I can not recommend it highly enough if you want to convert your tripod head.I am using it with the Magnesium 3 way head from Manfrotto.

We bought this as my wife's tripod head has a Manfrotto QR, which she likes, but wants to use some of my long lenses which have Arca Swiss. The converter works a treat. Seams quite solid. And allows me to use her lighter and more portable tripod!
