Way back, when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. I had an earlier version of this style track and car made by Aroura. Who by the way went out if business. So it was nice to find this set which had cars built with the pancake motor. In my mind a superior design.I don't really like the squeeze tracks as they can cause accidents which can damage the cars pickup shoes. These by the way are no longer made of copper.The controllers are ergonomic and fit the hand nicely though they seem maybe just a little sticky? Or more like the contact surfaces grate a little bit. They do not have as smooth an action as the old carbon pile type. Though I must admit the carbon pile type did occasionally need to be disassembled for maintenance.The track is of the snap together type which eliminates the small parts required of yesteryear. I can see though that it could be easy to damage the conductor connection points. If the person assembling was not paying attention to details.All in all it is a decent set and I am looking forward to racing my grandchildren.

Cars wouldn’t stay on inside track in the corners. Too fast. Bought a transformer with 3 settings. Reduces the volts to the track. No problem now. Other than too much power it’s great. They need to change the transformer

It came right on time. It was awesome, love it.

I saw these two cars race at the Trans Am race at Elkart Lake, WI in 1971 - brought back many memories - so when I saw the cars in this set, I had to have it - great set - cars really move - lots of fun.
