BIG and HEAVY ol' owlbear figure
This figure is HEAVY and BIG.She stands at about 8 1/2 inches, upright. Some minor assembly was required (the chest plates and extra paws were enclosed in wax paper bags, shoved into the box). Paper(?) twist ties hold the figure in package. As far as articulation, Doric can stand upright and on her fours in her Owlbear form, easily. No bicep swivel. No articulated mouth/beak. The curled paws are fixed that way, they are not hinged- as the pictures might lead you to believe. Not sure why non-human type figures like this, at this price point, this BIG size, had skimped out on articulated paws. Hasbro could've solved this (and saved on plastic, since there is no windows on the boxes anymore) by just having the forepaws hinged. The joints overall are pretty darn tight.Be wary of the chest/ab joint, as it is so VERY tight it creaks (it is a thin stalk of plastic on a ball joint, as is the base of the neck-to-chest attachment). Butterfly arm joints. Single hinge swivel joints throughout, from the paws, and knees, to elbows. The hips are attached to textured ball-jointed stalks. The head is on a sliding ball joint and is very limited.PROS: The paint application is clean for what it is. She’s a hefty BIG Owlbear figure. Poseable throughout.CONS:Aside from the creaky-about-to-snap of a chest/ab joint, and non-hinge paws, there is no hinge beak. I can hope the brown version will have a hinged jaw, as it has a larger yet gnarly-looking beak compared to this one. Though poseable to some degree, the toy still has limited movement, especially in the head/neck; which could’ve been solved with softer plastic and/or an extra joint. Body proportions are a bit off, compared to the wonderful box art.*If you’re an artist that makes custom toy parts to sell, here’s a good candidate- to make a slightly smaller, hinged jaw head. Wink wink wink :-)**The claws are very pointy. Be cautioned if you're buying this for a small young child.

Great gift to myself!
I actually pre-ordered this amazing OwlBear months ago and it arrived early! It is a super nice, heavyweight collectible but you can buy it for someone to play with as well! It does have small parts so please be cautious about choking hazards. It is of very good quality! The box is not suitable for display as it has no window, which is ok, but I was hoping not to open it. But opening it was fun! It has extra claws, is very articulated and it's posable! Great gift for any occasion! You will have to put the chest & back piece on but it isn't difficult, so be aware that if this is for a child to play with these parts can become lost. This is a heavy toy, pretty well made. If someone were hit with it, it's going to hurt (having 3 kids I understand how kids can be). She is rubberized and quite awesome! I am very happy with my new toy! I just really wish the box was displayable.

BIG
She's a big chunk of hefty plastic and I like her.The product stock photos look stark white, but the actual product is a more cream color, which I prefer. She has those almost worryingly sturdy joints where it's hard to get it to shift positions, but all the joints are thick enough that it doesn't feel like a problem. My only complaint is that you can't really get the head to look right when she's standing straight up. It's angled to look very natural when hunched over, which is the priority I suppose. The box art pose doesn't really work all that well, though. Eyes angled too high on the head.Still, it's a genuinely good toy and I can't imagine there will be a better owlbear any time soon, if ever.

Definitely recommend
I am personally not into DnD but I have to appreciate the owlbear beast. It’s massive it’s fun. And if you’re creative he will look great next to other toys/ figures. Warning I bought this product when it was on sale. I would only recommend this if you are a big dnd fan or just like big monsters
