Brilliant gas BBQ, well worth it.
It's not quite clear from the description/pictures but this is the complete Safari Chef 2 BBQ, comes with carry bag, 2 cooking surfaces (bbq grill and flat pan), wok/lid, gas attachment and carry bag. It's also advertised on Amazon as elsewhere with full pictures, but for some reason this version was slightly cheaper but is the same item. It's pictured with a regulator fitted but this is not the case and it simply has a screw connector for attaching to a gas supply (that needs to be 'low' pressure otherwise you will need to buy the regulator - mainly this is for use with gas bottles). In use this is brilliant. I used to have a Cobb BBQ that I liked, but got fed up with cleaning and the slow cooking times. This is so much better and is surprisingly good for a small BBQ. I noticed one review said it doesn't get hot enough but I was surprised by this. The first time I used it I had 5 thick burgers on the BBQ plate, all about half an inch thick. Put the lid on so that heat builds up and they cooked really nicely, without burning but with a nice BBQ'ed appearance and taste. The design is really nicely thought out, so that the fat drips through into the base tray without hitting the flame directly and then easy to clean. The base pan also acts to keep the wind from blowing the flame out, so is really good to use outdoors and is practically unaffected by the wind.Overall a really nicely designed BBQ and is well worth the asking price. Cooks well and comes with everything you need except a gas pipe and connection to whatever gas supply you need.I also bought the quick connector, however the only downside with this is when fitted the legs do not fold flat properly and it then wont pack away as easily. I've therefore gone back to the screw connector that it comes with which is a minor inconvenience but works fine, just remember it's a left hand thread (it's well marked though).

Portable Gas BBQ/Grill - Low Pressure
The item arrived quicker than expected and was well packed in its retail box. Every component is well made and finished to a high standard meaning the product should, with care, give many years of service. This model runs off LPG via a gas bottle and regulator (not supplied) typically a Camping Gaz 907 or any other locally available gas cylinder, however an adaptor is available to allow the use of disposable gas cartridges. The BBQ is ideal for camping as it is very versatile and easy to use allowing the user the possibility of BBQ grilling or frying using the two main cooking surfaces, pot/kettle boiling, stir frying or stews and curries, depending on the other components used and your own cooking skills. The whole kit is easy to clean and packs down into a carrying bag for transport.Overall an excellent product I thoroughly recommend.

Great bbq
have used this bbq plenty of times now. It's simple to set up and use. It's very easy to clean after use. It cooks meat perfectly. Obviously if you're catering for a lot of people then this is to small but it's great for small family use, say four people. I've had this item for several years now and it's still looks almost brand new and works perfectly. Finally, it's so compact that you can take it with you anywhere

Very good delivery - well put together
Very good delivery - well put together. Need to use it more to verify how good it is and to cook some different dishes - Used it once so far to cook some sausages and to boil some water both of which worked fine, - does need to be sited in a sheltered position out of the wind otherwise it takes ages to boil - could do with some wind protection. Saying that - I think it a very versatile piece of cooking equipment that we can easily carry anywhere on the camp site and set up with the gas bottle - And as an alternative which will allow us to cook outside of our motor-home under the awning - no smells or moisture inside.

Brilliant kit
We took it on our family camping trip, and we could do so many types of cooking with it.It is packed very compact. It is however unclear from the description that a separate gas pipe + regulator are needed.

Impressed.
This BBQ was purchased from marketplace partner Purely Outdoors for a competetive price of £118, it was delivered 24 hours later, on a Saturday, and was exactly the model I was expecting. Top marks to the seller. There seems to be some confusion and conflicting information in some reviews and answered questions about the difference between the LP and HP versions. I ordered and received the LP version which as expected did not include a hose or regulator to connect it to the external refillable gas bottle and is not capable of operating directly from a disposable cartridge. With a length of lpg hose and and the correct regulator for the chosen cylinder the LP model will operate with any size and any brand of refillable butane or propane cylinder(including leisure and patio gas) The HP model will connect directly to a disposable cartridge but as far as I know cannot be used with an external gas bottle. The BBQ feels solid and well made, it lights easily cooks evenly without burning, the only real criticisms are that the dome handles get hot and the legs are very short meaning it needs to be on a low table for comfort. A big plus point is the ease of dissasembly for cleaning, all of the parts (except the burner) can go in the washing up bowl, or even the dishwasher. The design is such that fat shouldn't drip on the burner...

Nice but Poor Quality
I had mine for 3 years, but only used it about 10 times, always at home in the garden. It looks immaculate. Its now broken, and Cadac just said "it's only guaranteed for 2 years so fix it yourself". Pretty disappointed and won't be buying from them again.
