Takes Patience & Planning
There's a learning curve to doing this if it's your first time like it was for me. I didn't understand that I had to open the plastic all the way --it's double folded and I didn't realize. Also when putting the tape on the window and the frame you need to press super hard or it won't stick and will peel away when you start to remove the wrapper. I found that using shorter lengths worked better. And I cut the large plastic down into shorter pieces to deal with. I used some of the tape to stick one piece to the other once the first one was finished on the window. Worked just fine and already cut the draft in my apartment.

It works great for me..
I purchased this a few years ago, I have tried both the window shrink and the patio door shrink wrap. I find that as long as the area is clean the double sided tape will stick securely to the wrap. It also needs to be installed securely and carefully to ensure a nice tight secure fit. Pack your patience if you are a first timer with this and if you are doing it alone. Practice will make perfect, but it requires patience and firm gentleness because it is fragile so you don't want to do the 'yank and grab' thing even when you may be getting impatient. I will admit my first time putting this up, it looked loose and horrible, but, it was secure on all sides and did the trick. It's just that, because it wasn't tight, when the wind blew and mostly at night, I would hear the wrap crinkling kind of like a potato chip bag.... (or it was just roaches trying to get out of the cold into my nice warm home through the cracks and realized they couldn't because of the insulation wrap, so they moved on to the next unit with no protection - lol). In any event, I did a much better job this time around. Keep the scissors handy for trimming the excess and cutting off what you need across and down the sides of the dimensions of your patio door. Will buy again as long as the price is right. Works to keep bills low and insects out !

Thin
The product came quickly, had everything in the package that I needed, but it was surprisingly thin and fragile. I’m not sure that I would order again.

Works well!
Had no prior experience with this and just needed some of these because almost every window in our new house has a broken seal and it’s below freezing.I procrastinated for 3weeks with this item in hand but when I finally put it on the results were instant.Seller sold at the best price, shipped at a great rate and all was good. My only complaint with my order is that I received it in a Home Depot.com shipping box and shipping label and there wasn’t a hint that this item was ordered on Amazon. That’s shady practice but it’s not my problem to sort out :)

Easy way to insulate your house during freezing temperatures
Saved my house during a frigid winter week. If you look at the photo, it looks like the cold is trying to into “enter” my living room (3 windows). My home easily stayed 68 degrees inside while the outside was 10 degrees and below.Best way to apply, work the tape and film top down, sides, bottom.

Trash!
For some reason when I did a search for this in my "Orders" it wasn't showing and I'm so frustrated with this product that I went into a deep dive to find this item among my previous orders.I usually order 3M insulation and I've been happy with it but I thought I'd give this a try. Not only was it a waste of my money, but now I have unused tape around my window casing because after I applied the tape around my window casing and was pulling the plastic sheeting apart it literally tore apart in my hands. Mind you I've handled the 3M multiple times so I know to pull gently. I'm furious!!! It's not necessarily a difficult job but it is rather tedious and time consuming and I'd been putting this off until the perfect day, which was today. To have to stop at the final step of installation because the product fell apart is just ridiculous!!I thought it had torn in a spot that still left it usable so I was still hopeful. I folded it in half and applied it across the top and looked down and unfortunately saw the lower half missing so I just bunched it up and threw it in the trash and ordered another 3M kit, which I really should've done in the first place. Now I have to wait until Saturday when the 3M kit comes and hopefully it'll come early enough for me to handle this mess, otherwise it'll have to wait until next week if I can even get to it then. I'll also need to remove the fresh tape that I just applied and start from scratch with 3 M tape because now I don't even trust King Frost's tape! Not only do I have to start from scratch but I have to start by tearing out the old! What's worse is in the meantime money is literally flying out of my door everytime I run my A/C until I can get the new insulation up.Once again... I'm furious!!!Do yourself a favor and get the 3M kit!
