RUDDINGS WOOD 90cm Large Wooden Planter Brown

I love these planters. Having shopped around to get the right size and price, these fitted the bill and have not disappointed. They are very sturdy, solid and well made planters. The arrived ready made which is a big advantage and were delivered 6 days earlier than expected which was perfect. We will add a plastic liner but as suggested by the other reviewers we don't feel the need to drill any holes due to the small gapping in the wooden panels. We are looking forward to seeing them in bloom later in the year and would definitely recommend them for purhase

A strong, sturdy and well sized planter. Excellent considering the price. For best results I would recommend treating the wood pre-winter to preserve longevity. All in all a great product!

Excellent quality - ready-assembled in strong wood which has been treated with what appears to be several coats of clear varnish. Quite heavy as they are so solidly made, so might need two people to lift them. Each trough is raised slightly off the ground on wooden feet, and the troughs are attractive to look at. Suitable for patios, balconies or gardens. There are no drainage holes as such, so best to line the troughs with a few pieces of broken terracotta pot or stones (or with black plastic e.g. binliner, with holes pierced in base) to prevent waterlogging/ soil seeping out, and to extend the life of the base. Not essential though, as some water does drain away slightly between base and first slat on each side. Would recommend this product without question.

Just received this - delivered quicker than stated, it’s all ready to go no assembly required. Very sturdy and solid, feels extremely well made. I put compost and ivy plants in it immediately- didn’t feel the need to line or drill holes as there is a gap in the bottom which will serve as drainage . I’m thrilled to bits with this and highly recommend. The price is also fantastic for what you’re getting.

excellent planters, well made and sturdy made of good quality wood[ treated from what I can see]. I would have preferred if screws had been used as the fixings instead of nails -all be it special "serrated" ones.

The first thing to note is that this is one sturdy item. Even with the £10.00 delivery charge it's great value for money. It really is as good as it looks and will be even better when planted up, though I will be giving it a couple of coats of varnish for extra protection. It will enhance any patio or balcony.

Arrived very promptly. I like that it is pre-assembled. Sturdy and well put together. Dimensions as stated in listing. Slight gaps in between planks along base so needs stones to prevent soil or compost leaking out.
