Sentinel Pro FX20C24P 20 Sheet Cross Cut Paper Shredder with 8.6 Gallon Waste Basket

I've had this shredder for about a week and so far it has work great. It is my first shredder of this size and I can't really compare it with other shredders. It shreds 20 pages as easy and about the same speed as shredding 10 pages, so that's great if you have a lot of shredding to do. I would highly recommend this shredder. I'll post another review if I have any issues....

Shredder worked great for the first couple weeks, then started acting up: full bin alarm with bin empty or beeping randomly without anyone trying to shred papers, not shredding properly or at all, activity/alarm screen blank. Because it was to late to return to Amazon I had to call the company, unfortunately you have to send the shredder back at your own expense before they will replace it. First you have to find a box that it will fit in and it is a bit expensive since it is so big and heavy. My daughter bought the same shredder and had to have it replaced but was within the 30 day return to Amazon so it sent smoothly. That should have been a hint for me not to buy this brand of shredder. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

It only lasted a couple of years. The add oil light would not go off even tough we added oil and the bin was flimsy. It was ok as far as the shredding went. They state 20 sheets, but I would say more like 10 sheets or you would have problems. I don't think I would buy this brand again. The switch went on us and it's not like we opened and closed the bin a lot. Very disappointed.

Works as stated. Not as fast as my other shredders, but meets my requirements.

I had a similar experience as other reviewers, where the shredder worked great for a few uses, then stopped. We rarely use the shredder, so it has only been used 2 or 3 times over the three months we've had it. Today I tried to turn it on and it made a screeching noise, with the screen only partially lit, then it went totally blank and nothing can be shredded. As expressed by others, the manufacturer offered to replace it if I packed it up and mailed it back to them at my own expense. I can't see spending half the cost of the shredder to ship it back.

Looks great, arrived quickly, can it survive the staff for more than a couple of months? We will see.

I should have listened to the 18% of reviews about this shredder. 14 months old ... 2 months out of warranty ... it simply fell apart. First the plastic bin broke in half. Then the clip that indicates bin is full broke off. Now it completely quite working. Won't even turn on. What a piece of junk!
