Almost perfect kettle!`
Who knew it was possible to love a *kettle* SO MUCH!!!! I rave about this kettle to anyone who cares to listen! I am probably the fussiest kettle buyer going - there is always something I don't like - but I've had this beauty for a year now and couldn't be happier. I love the look of it, the spout (very important) and the temperature gauge - and Keep Warm feature which I didn't think I would use but I use it all the time! The Keep Warm Feature is perfect for cooking. I have boiling water at the ready all the time for pouring into saucepans for cooking (incidentally, the spout is a perfect pourer, water comes out at a steady rate without splashing or spilling and doesn't just drizzle like some "cutesy" kettles, the ones where you take the lid off to fill up). Filling is simple with the flip up lid too. I also use Keep Warm when I fancy a cuppa, flick the kettle on, go off and do something, come back and water is ready. Expecting a visitor? Flick it on and cuppa ready when they arrive!Heating to a certain temperature is something I rarely use (although handy for a hot water bottle when you don't want it quite boiling!) but expert coffee drinkers might appreciate this feature. I love the fact that it gives a cute little beep when it reaches the desired temperature too!Downsides - it's a bit more noisy than I would like but I can live with that due to the other features. And - a downside for me not reading the instructions probably - when you use the Keep Warm feature, just flick it again to bring it back to temperature! I wasn't doing that to begin with as I stupidly thought it would remain at the set temperature but of course it doesn't, it will just keep bringing it back to temperature every couple of minutes. It literally takes a second to bring back to temp but if you don't do that, you may have tea made with non-boiling water (if you catch it just before it brings back to temp again).Overall, this is the best kettle I've ever owned and just hope it is never discontinued when I need to replace in years to come!

Excellent Bosch kettle!
I recently purchased a brand of kettle madeby the Electrolux company. I favoured its stainless steel construction and particularly its spout as it seemed slimmer and would pour better than our previous Bosch Skyline kettle which had itself replaced a Siemens Porsche kettle. The product did all of this and I was pleased with my purchase initially (for one month) until it became faulty. I returned the kettle and am currently awaiting a refund. However, I checked out the latest Bosch Sky kettle which is 99p more than my previous model. I was a little unsure about the spout and whether it would dribble on use as my current one does. I am pleased to say that this new Bosch Sky kettle is worth the extra 99p over my previous model. It addresses the one point that I didn't like about my other Bosch kettle ie pouring and dribbling the water. I am thoroughly pleased that I spent the extra £30 for this model over the one made by Electrolux. It is certainly money well spent. I can really recommend this kettle! I have many appliances from the Bosch Neff Siemens group and they have all been excellent. One of the three Siemens Porsche kettles that I bought for my partner and I began to leak the other tripped the circuit breaker but worked fine on a different circuit, the third one I bought for my sister and she has only just superceded it with a Bosch! Our Neff dishwasher is still going strong since around 2007. The Serie 6 Silence Bosch Washer dryer is fab and our new Siemens larder fridge and matching stainless steel tall freezer is also fab. Our new Siemens freestanding black inox dishwasher holds 30cm dinner plates and is the only model on the market to do so aswel as opening the door on cycle finish! We cannot praise the brands from Bosch Neff and Siemens group enough! It's so refreshing to get well styled excellent quality products with reliable electronics aswel. I will be more discerning next time when choosing a product on just sheer style, price and perceived function alone! I suspect although I might be wrong that some manufacturers share parts between their brands and a product can be £30 more but have the same electronics as the cheaper one. I wasn't going to compromise this time. I usually check out the Brand parent company to see if there could be synergies between the products essentially paying more for the same product wearing a different suit of clothes! I hope that this makes sense to the discerning buyers on Amazon!

Great Kettle
Love this Kettle, this is our second we live in a hard water area where no amount of descaling can put off the inevitable although this kettle lasted longer than any others. 5 years plus! The design is sleek and the touch sliding scale to change temperature is simplicity itself and no worries about the seal around a button wearing out. The keep warm function is a very useful feature. All in all an easy to keep clean base and kettle that boils quickly and relatively quietly.

Bulky and effective kettle
Considered a few kettles and picked this one.It heats a fair volume of water to several preset temperatures including 90C and boiling.4 presets rather than a range of temperatures is no problem, but weird given the interface. The handle is bulky even for an average man’s hands. Handling a full kettle with smaller hands is tricky as you can’t hold the handle securely. The lid popup button is great. Pops the lid open for easy filling. The water level indicator is somewhat obscured by the handle. Even when it isn’t, seeing the water level is hard because of the dark background. Perhaps not a problem in an open space, but certainly a problem when the kettle is under cupboards.Heating water is OK. The kettle is fairly quiet and makes no repeated annoying announcements that it is done.Putting the kettle back on its base is straightforward, but sometimes involves a bit of hit and miss to get on the connector.Overall this is an OK kettle that has a fair price given its design and features. With some thought it could be great.
