Himalayan Art in 108 Objects

This is an accessible and beautiful overview of Himalayan art, which introduces the reader to the subject by examining the history and properties of 108 objects. The objects range from ornate Buddha statues and ritual ornaments to entire monasteries. The pictures are magnificent and the descriptions and historical background are clear and well-written. I’ve purchased quite a few books on Himalayan art in the past and this is my favorite so far. I believe it is especially suitable as an introduction to the subject.
