Does what it promises
I have a pair of Scarpa boots fitted with Vibram soles that are around 8 years old. Over that time they have become extremely comfortable. As a lot of my walking is off road, the soles have a considerable amount of wear left in them and the uppers remain in excellent condition. However a few weeks ago the rubber edging strip on one boot started to come away from the upper and then the toe of the sole on the other boot became separated from the upper. As the soles have a lot of wear left I was reluctant to send them off for re-soling and due to lockdown the local cobbler is shut, so a DIY repair was my first choice. After reading reviews of a number of products and speaking with friends who had used some with no success, I decided to give Boot-Fix Shoe glue a try. Other reviewers have commented that the amount you get for your money is tiny. This may appear to be the case, but the reality is that you only need to use a very small amount. I glued both boots and used about 20% of the glue. I found you need to apply pressure for longer than the instructions say. Working my way around the rubber side trim took about 10 minutes in total. However the repair appears to be very good. Since gluing them I have walked over 100 miles in both dry and very wet and muddy conditions and the repair is as good as when first done. The only comment I would make is that where some of the glue oozed above the rubber side seal it dried white. This appears to be purely cosmetic and I suspect would pick off if I wanted to. Therefore from my experience thus far, this product is definitely worth a try in the first instance.

It works well.
It works. I have a pair of Clarks size 4 leather upper chelsea boots where on one boot I managed to rip open the toe half of the sole from the upper. I applied the glue as per the instructions. It was tricky to get it right into the centre of the sole but I managed to get enough glue in. I lightly clamped the toe of the boot. Left it overnight before wearing. I have just come back from a 5 day business trip where I wore the boots everyday. The soles are still firmly attached to boots upper. I am pleased with the results. I hope the remaining glue in the bottle does not dry out or the cap get stuck to the bottle as there is enough left for at least another 2-3 similar applications. I am pretty happy with the results.

works ok
I bought this to fix some shoes and it has been a good temporary fix. at the end of the day when you shoes are on their way out, they won't last long. But this glue held it together well for me and I have no real issues with it.

This stuff really works
I bought this glue around a year ago, and everything (including a leather phone case) has stayed properly stuck. I bought this to repair an entire half sole and heel section that came off a pair of my wife's boots - it absolutely fixed them and has remained properly stuck (and flexible). Subsequently this has done many other minor repairs to shoes, phone cases and belts. It recommends keeping the glue in the fridge once open, which I have done. A year later, I repaired a heel that come off my son's girlfriend's favourite boots after dragging the glue from the back of the fridge (hiding amongst the jars). Worked a treat - and she's very happy. This seems like expensive stuff, but after being in the fridge for a year and saving a good couple of hundred quids worth of loved stuff, it's well worth the spend.

A dedicated product for a dedicated purpose
A great product for anyone who has had their rubber sole part from the leather upper of their expensive shoe or boot, long before either has worn out. Boot-Fix did a great job re-bonding the soles of my leather hiking shoes where, after several years of rugged winter hiking in the UK, the sole of both shoes finally parted at the toe end. Before undertaking any sole re-bonding job it is essential that the mating surfaces are COMPLETELY DRY and COMPLETELY CLEAN. I don't think any adhesive can be expected to keep a sole in place if it is used to bond dirt to dirt .I would advise spending sufficient time preparing the surfaces to be joined. I stored the shoes in a warm place in the house for several days until they were completely dry. I then used a vacuum cleaner, white spirit and a quite a lot of kitchen towel to remove every last trace of dust and dirt from the mating surfaces. I then carefully applied Boot-Fix to both the leather mating surface and, separately, to the rubber mating surfaces of the sole, applying a thin bead as I went along. The bottle only contains about 20ml, but it is very powerful. The instructions on the packet only tell you to apply the adhesive to the "wear line or edge of the sole to one surface to be bonded", but I chose to apply it to both mating surfaces and the entire surface in each case, not just the "wear line". I then pushed the sole and upper together and clamped them using only my hands for about 60 seconds. I did not apply glue to the second shoe until I had completed the bonding of the first. I then returned the shoes to the same dry place in the house and let the adhesive cure for about 48 hours. I am pleased to say that after 30 miles of wet winter hiking since the repair, including walking in salt water, this product has performed perfectly. I thoroughly recommended Boot-Fix Glue.

Super Glue but Not Necessarily Shoe Glue
Very strong glue that stuck football boots together and then they came apart on first use. Found that some other thicker glues are better for repairing trainers. That said it is still a tube of super glue that is useful for other bonding where there is less movement and flexing

Worked great on Meindl walking shoes
After four years of hard use, my Meindl trainers were well-worn but with plenty of life left in them apart from where the rubber flap up and over the toe area had come away on one shoe and was starting to fail on the other. This repair glue is very easy to use: all I had to do was run a thin line of the adhesive around the edge of the separated rubber, with a bit of a squiggly line of it further into the separated area. Then I just held the joint tightly with both hands for 45 seconds. Result: a strong perfect joint that one couldn't tell had ever been a problem. Great product, with plenty of glue left for any other problems and no mess at all.

Excellent sole glue
Does what it says, glued DM sole back on with a small amount of glue save so much money than sending them away to be fixed!
