Great for adding more SATA ports to your system. Works perfectly on Linux. Doesn't support boot drives (i.e. your BIOS will not see the SATA devices attached to this). Ensure your boot drives are on the on-board SATA ports.

je cherchait à avoir plus de capacité sur mon mac pro sur os monterey. installation facile mais pensez bien à l'alimentation car aucunes fiche d'alimentation supplémentaire n'existe sur la carte mère ( j'ai utilisé une fiche Y pour alim sata que j'ai branché derrière le cd rom) je me retrouve avec 9 disques durs, j'ai quoi de voir venir. sachez que les débits sont supérieur avec cette carte, j'ai branché mon ssd os sur la fiche 1 et la vitesse est là

I rebuilt an old Gigabyte Series S based computer into an Ubuntu server with a level 6 raid array. I needed a card that could drive all six of my 4TB drives and this one is working as hoped. It was plug and play, no issues, no special driver installs. The only caution is that the old BIOS does not recognize the card, but Linux does, so not a problem for me.

ik gebruik het voor een NAS met een Intel i5-4460 CPU op een asus b85m-e, werkt perfect! naar het schijnt kunnen deze kaartjes problemen geven (niet herkend worden) met nieuwere moederborden, dus wees geinformeerd.
