This seems pretty fun and it is. It’s great for all kinds of census activities. And it gives you a reason to use a grappling hook when you drop something behind the couch. Also a good excuse to buy Cool toys and tell your wife that it’s a tool. I have a great time with it and it’s pretty tough and works good I’m super surprised. I actually am super impressed with how strong and useful it is, I put it to the test while doing firewood and it pulled everything I attached it to!

This is a very compact, multi-functional device. It is well made from what appears to be stainless steel. It has 3 useful configurations. My only reservation is that I wish it was somewhat larger in order to attach a heavy duty rope.

I bought this just for fun because it was so cool looking, but I tried it and you can actually pick up a quarter with this from 10 ft in the air. perfect if you drop stuff from construction sites down you can't reach, it also makes a cool drager if you drop something in the water and you want to hook it and pull it out. Nicely made very strong

Very solid looking; I do not doubt that it would hold the rated load. Massive RIVETS, not screws that could possibly come undone. I might just have to put this in a pouch and carry it on my belt beside my knife and flashlight. (Yes, I did watch Batman when I was a kid.)

I originally got this grappling hook because I thought it would be cool to hang a bear bag with it while pseudo car camping. I also thought it would be a cool thing to just have. However, the fact that it relies on rubber bands kind of freaks me out. It does look cool and is going to be great to cosplay or use as a ninja Halloween costume. The metal itself seems sturdy, so eventually I'll probably start trying to hang things from it. Again, the rubber band reliance kind of concerns me.

Finish wasn't as good as the little one I reviewed earlier, but this is a tool. The edges were knocked off(Not sharp) so getting a firm grip on the thing didn't hurt or cut my hand. It'll be fun finding uses for it. Very nice packaging. Was wondering where I would store the crosshook. It was obvious when I pulled it out of the box... note the picture below.

Love it. A key part of my EDC bag. I have used it for retrial, bot not yet for suspension. I wish there was a better way to regulate the closure tension than the o-rings, or a better place to keep them if not in use, but these are very minor gripes. Smooth operation with the o-rings not applied, and very little slack in the joints.

Might be a fun little toy (what was I REALLY going to use this for..? picking up things from the ground while I'm in a tree was the only relatively feasible idea, but c'mon, that's pretty unlikely even considering I climb trees for fun... this is pretty much just a silly toy)but the one I got wasn't quality tested, and one of the 'rivets' was put on too tightly, preventing the mechanism from opening/closing without significant effort, rendering the item practically useless.I could probably return it for another one, cause Amazon is good like that, but it's not worth the trouble of packaging/shipping... Since I feel silly for ordering it to begin with, I can't bring myself to spend more energy on this... Disappointing...
