This is my very first blood monitor which I have used three times so far. The detailed pictorial and text instructions were clear enough to get a beginner using it successfully.Setting up the year, month, day, and time is made tedious using only two buttons. This will need to be repeated each time the batteries are changed.Another annoyance was that the instructions still refer to calibrating the monitor using calibration liquid before doing blood tests but calibration fluid is not contained in the kit. I eventually found out that the calibration step is no longer required since this is now done at the factory. The instructions should be updated and a note put in the box until they have been updated.Once set up the monitor is easy to use, appears to work very well and is really well finished. Now I am past the set up stage it is easy to use and has generous storage of the results, conveniently grouping “before meal” and “after meal” etc. It also comes with a convenient zip up case.Overall it appears good value for a capable blood monitor with all required accessories.

So I’m doing intermittent fasting and needed something to monitor my blood sugar levels over a period of time. Plus wasn’t sure I wanted to spend >£50 on a CGM that would only check for 14/28 days etc. After reading many a review I opted for this one. As well as good reviews replacing the lances and strips seemed easy and cheap enough. Good manual and quick guide to get you started - nice clear pictures. Did waste a few test strips initially due to insufficient sample size. You can adjust the depth of the lance - was a bit of a wuss thought a lower setting would be less painful - honestly just start at 3/3.5 the latter works best for me. You’ll need a drop of blood about 3mm in diameter, too small and you’ll waste a test strip. Error code E-7. Also I did bend a few lances pulling off the disc on the top, recommend rotating it several times before gently pulling it off. Also does say keep and then push the lance into the front to dispose. Personally thought this could get knocked off, so I push it at an angle on the kitchen tiles, to bend it flush with the plastic. This way it can’t prick anyone. All packs away quite neatly in the bag supplied - see photo. So glad I bought this as at one point after doing exercise post not eating for 48 hrs my blood sugar was just 3.0 so ended my fast immediately. Found it easy to use, hence highly recommended.

Unfortunately had to return this item as could not get it to work. Although I followed the instructions I made 5 attempts to get a reading before giving up. The monitor was working but would not give a reading so gave up.Update.I was contacted by the manufacturer and they offered to replace the product. It arrived in a few days and this one worked well.Easy to use and understand.Really pleased with the customer service so happy to report back and do another review.

Item is faulty followed the instructions inserted the batteries numbers flashed pressed the button as the instructions showed then the item immediately switched off. Could do nothing until the batteries were replaced and then the same procedure happened. Total waste of money do not recommend this item would never purchase one again. Just put it in the waste bin.Will purchase a different model from a different seller

Does exactly what it says on the tin

This kit is a good price, good quality, easy, quick and accurate. There are plenty of replaceable needles and readers to last a good while. I think everyone who worries about their health should bhave one, not just diabetics. Fore warned is fore armed as they say.

I've used Sinocore before. it was time for replenishing the strips which costed a couple of quids less than Safe AQ Pro I model, so I got this instead. The strips are good quality, so far no errors. Safe AQ Pro I also registers before and after meals as well as an average between 7, 14, 30 and 90 days. A great tool for those who like to monitor their blood sugar levels over periods.A must have for healthy and balanced life.
