Very happy with the lights. Delivered on time. I bought them for my manufacturing facility to put on each line as an indicator that they need a forklift operator. Has helped a lot the last 2 days they are up. Efficiency is trending upwards! ha

The Andon light stack comes with its own power supply and two switches. This one is mechanically controlled and was obtained for use in a recording studio. Green is used for not ON AIR, Red shows ON AIR. Typical uses of the Andon light stack are in a production and manufacturing facility, a robot gantry enclosure, or any other process that needs to show status to someone when they walk by. Typically, these light stacks are computer controlled; this one could be done that way as well by replacing the mechanical switch box with electrical (PLC, Arduino, other single board computer) for remote operation or automatic operation. This light stack is well constructed. It has only red and green indicators, whereas some have a yellow light as well, this one does not. With super bright LED's and adequate mount, it can be quickly installed and in use for any production process. The manual knobs are easy to operate, they don't bind or slip. An operator will have no trouble utilizing this. This one has the buzzer or flash feature. The LEDs on this stack are very bright and are easy to see from across a crowded factory floor. The buzzer is extremely loud; it will not be utilized in this configuration as a buzzer is not needed to notify ON AIR / OFF AIR. NOTE: The buzzer can't be turned off via switch; it appears to operate at all times when the red light flashes. I am sure with a bit of mechanical know-how the buzzer can be disabled. The light stacks are available with audible alarm buzzer or without audible alarm. The audible alarm in an industrial environment can add to ear fatigue, but can be used for notification purposes. My suggestion for the purpose of using it in a quiet recording studio environment (in my case), is to not use one with the buzzer feature, or disassemble it and disable the buzzer. Other farm uses could include a remote notifier to show if a gate is left open, or somehow gets disloged. The typical use of any Andon light stack (light stick in some countries) is basically a remotely noticeable alarm.

Do not attempt to use these poor little lights outside with two exceptions: 1) during a total eclipse of the sun, or 2) at midnight on a moonless night. Indoors, they work in a pitch black closet or a room with all the shades drawn. You have been warned.

This 2-stack red/green light works well. The integrated controls are dead simple, the lights are clear and bright, and the mounting hardware is sturdy and well-made. If I had one wish, it would be that there was some flexibility in terms of being able to remove the bracket and change things out a little. As it stands, the whole system from plug to tip of the light is on a single connection of sorts and you can't remove one portion due to the fact that you can't get the pieces over the other components without disconnecting the wiring entirely. Aside from that constraint, it's a good package otherwise!

Do these things typically cost hundreds? I honestly can't see why it should be this pricey. In one way, it's better than I expected from the photos. The pole is actually metal where it appears plastic in the photos. In another way it's worse than I expected... the red and green areas next to the switches that appeared to be illuminated to me in the photos are just cheap stickers - and the stickers aren't even applied straight and are a bit crooked like someone did it by hand and in a rush. For something this expensive, that's a bit of a head scratcher. The included power supply is at least, probably as good as you can ask for... good power handling characteristics, from a power supply company I actually recognize and carries proper UL certification. Overall, the quality of the fixture is fine, good even in a lot of ways, but the bar should be higher than this for the cost. This light is extremely basic in features, moreso than I expected... I thought for sure that they were just missing some information in the listing for what it costs and there would be ways to hook up remote triggers and such to this as is kind of common with industrial/commercial equipment like this but nope... literally the only way to turn the lights on or off is to physically be next to the light and flip the switches manually. I mean, in this day in age you expect there to be options for bluetooth, wifi, cloud control etc...things you get on consumer lights that cost a fraction of this. Brightness of the lights is good, definitely attention getting. If the feature set is what you need, understanding that this kind of thing is a very niche item, it'll do the job.

This light is built to be fairly sturdy and looks quite nice too. The lights are fairly bright and visible. The switches are quite satisfying too! If the height to this fella works for you then i feel like it will work great. There is a lack of customization to how this works, but that can be easily implemented with some circuit knowledge
