I took a trip to the Olympic Peninsula and part way down the PCH with my husband and this book made the trip easier to plan and added so much as we drove along. It has an abundance of maps, is laid out well, and information is easy to find. I found it a must have for our trip. We kept it in the door pocket of the car so whoever wasn't driving could refer to it easily. It helped educate us on the places and things we planned to see and also allowed us to look up additional places we discovered along the way. It was worth every penny even though it was published a few years ago.

This is a great guide for a road trip to northern California. We do use electronic media (Google, Maps, etc.) but having this handy compact book is a great backup in case Internet/Cell service is not available. It does have some extra info which is not easily available from the Internet. My wife and I highly recommend it.

If you're planning a trip along the PCH, you should definitely purchase this book prior to your trip. It was extremely helpful in pre-planning my route with must-see stops, great restaurant recommendations, information on hotels, etc. It absolutely enriched my PCH experience! I referenced this book before & during my trip - A LOT!
