Hugely enjoyable and with plenty of fun insights from the weird and wonderful world of killer heels and catwalks, this debut manages to balance its serious message and really make us root for Freya. Her wicked stepmother Bella is deliciously chilling. A great read for both teens and adults. Hugely recommend.

Loved every minute of this fairytale retelling. A must read for every tbr with an awesome protagonist and a great message for teens.

I read this book in just a few days and I was gripped all the way through. I particularly enjoyed the insider references and (sometimes critical) observations about the fashion industry and photography as an expressive, creative force. The book is cleverly crafted and the characters feel nuanced, 'real' and relatable. I imagine my teenage self would have devoured the book in a day or two and the book's twists and turns take the reader on an exciting and unpredictable journey.

A fairy tale retelling firmly rooted in the very real world of high fashion with a twist of magic - Mirror Me had me gripped from the very first pages. A fast paced plot and brilliant characters combined with the authors real experiences working as a top fashion model made this a fantastic read. I was behind Freya all the way as she tried to uncover what was really going on with her all too perfect step mother, Bella. Brilliant!

I bought this book for my grandchildren and read it myself. Apart from an engaging inside look at the fashion industry, it was a great read even for an adult, and had some wonderful themes that lead to a lively discussion with my granddaughters about what really is important in life! Highly recommend

What a page-turner this book is! Although it has elements of fantasy, it reads as a completely authentic story, with human interest, fast-moving plot, amazing characterisation. It may be written for teenagers, but it deserves a wide adult readership, too. If this is the debut novel, I can’t wait for the next one …
