Very fun
We just finished act 1, and all agree this is the best escape room game we have played. The logic all made sense and the additional aspects to the game made it way more interesting. I will be searching to see if they make more of these!

An excellent game night activity
I purchased this for my wife and I to play on a date night game night, and it was wonderful. I loved the D&D theming of all the interactions (we're both huge D&D nerds), and the story behind the game was actually quite good! It felt just like a published adventure. I only wish there were more games like this to purchase! We'd love to have some more games to play through.A few of the puzzles were a little obtuse for a bit, but I really appreciated the challenge of having to figure out what sort of mindset I needed to be in to solve them. The combat can also be a little overwhelming for two players if you take it too seriously; however, I really liked the added random element of dice rolls and fighting. It felt much more like a D&D game than a simple escape room with D&D themed cards.

Fun but the puzzles are a little too easy
The game has been fun but the puzzles are quite easy. I am by no means an expert at escape room stuff (in fact, I'm quite terrible) so when I can solve a puzzle quickly you know it's too easy. It's great to find a game that merges escape puzzles , with combat and looting though. I wish there were more like this! I also appreciate that so far (we're on act 3) we haven't had to destroy any of the artifacts that came with it to solve the puzzle - which means I can 'donate' it to another family member to try.

Great fun for lovers of both D&D and escape games
We've been playing D&D together since the 90's, and we've been trying out table top escape games over the last couple of years. "Bedlam" isn't true D&D and it's only partially an escape game. What it turned out to be was a very fun mash up and unique playing experience. The difficulty rating on the box said it was a 4 out of 5, but it's easier than that. I think we only needed a clarifying hint twice. I would rate the difficulty more at a 2-3. The real challenge ends up being the dice-driven battles the characters must win to progress in the story. There is a well balanced fight system that they've put together for the game that adds an exciting random element. The story is broken up into three separate parts and we played one each day over a long weekend. It was a great time. Role playing fans won't find an abundance of chances to interact in character any more than puzzle fans will be confounded by head-scratchers, but everyone is going to have a good time with this game. One piece of advice: if there are only two people playing, consider each player controlling two characters for an adventuring party of four. The game will flow a little better and you'll have more of a chance surviving battles.

Good starter D&D
Got this for my 4th grader who has started doing D&D at the local gaming shop. He enjoyed it!Nice story and easy to dive in with little experience. We played it with the max party size of 6 of us so it was pretty easy. Would be more challenging with a smaller group. Potentially limited replayability because the puzzles add nice twists and once they are solved you know them but worth the price nonetheless. I'd say this is great for older gradeschoolers or middle schoolers interested in D&D.

Meh
It’s fun because of the DnD aspect but I’ve played better for less. I think the puzzles are kind of bad tbh..
