Does the top coat last more than a week?

-If you have strong nails and are on vacation being waited on hand and foot, this two step polish could last 14 days. If you have good nails and do stuff, you might get a good week. -That said, it’s the best I’ve found and I’ve always had difficult nails: thin, prone to peeling, and now with the fine feature of old lady ridges. I also seem to have an “oily surface.” Back in the day, acrylics started to lift before time. If I have my hands in water a lot, they soften and bend causing any polish to peel off but this does last longer. -No UV light required. (SH does have a line that uses a UV light. This is not it.) -No base coat required. Some colors require two coats. To smooth out my ridges, I sometimes use three and the top coat. Yes, you have to be patient and let it dry. -Comes off with regular polish remover, just takes a wee bit longer. Some of the shimmers can be a little stubborn but it’s no big deal. -I haven’t tried the matte top coat because I prefer a glossy gel-like sheen. -I love the shimmers. They are beautiful alone or layered over a solid color. I get compliments every time I do that. (Let’s Get Digital, Shhhhh-immer, and Metro Midnight are my favorites.) -Doesn’t bother me that it doesn’t last 14 days. I’m up to 19 shades of SH Miracle Gel. With so many wonderful colors and shimmer combinations, by the time it starts to chip or peel, I’m ready to change it anyway.

Has anyone had a problem with the bristles of the brush falling out?

Yes. The seal on the side of the bristles splits over time and all of the bristles come out.

Is base coat necessary and does sally carry it? Cant find one.

No base coat is needed. Just color and top coat.

How is this brand and how is the quality？

I love this brand and color. It stays on very long and no light is required. I’m always getting compliments on the color.

BEST at-home gel polish - no UV needed!!!

Get it!!

Purchased several different nail colors at the same time and love them all. I have shorter nails, so the gel formula is super easy for me to use and it stays put. Saving money and can switch up the colors more frequently. No waiting at the salon and still love the results.

Has big pieces

Wanted sparkles and anticipated little shiny pieces. It has those but also has some much bigger pieces and they seem out of place on my nails. Would like it much better without the big pieces.

Not the best

I wanted to love this but it sadly did not stay on my nails. It took a long time to dry and chipped within a day. I might try it out again to see if I have better luck next time. The price point was great. I love the sheer color and was hopeful I would have loved it more. It also dried in streaks.

Nice polish with a wider application brush

I really like Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polish. I like that it has a wider brush for application. There are a lot of colors to choose from and this particular one is more of a purple with a little brown undertone. I like that it looks similar to chrome nails without having the extra step of using a chrome powder. It stays on my toes very well, haven’t tried it on my fingernails yet but like all other polish I’m sure it will chip because I haven’t found one yet that doesn’t, except actual gel polish :/
