My sausage fingers make it difficult to fit these, but once on the drill, they work perfectly.

Cheap at under £2 for an eight-piece set including delivery, though delivery took a month. I don't know what they mean when they say "Designed to grip the entire diameter of your drill bit without screw ever touching the shaft" because it's the screw tightening on the shaft that secures the collar. Anyway, they work well enough and much better than putting tape around your drill bit. If you can wait for delivery, these are a good buy.

I have been putting together home made boxes and furniture using dowels and glue. The stop collars have made it so I no longer punch through on the wrong depth and I no longer have to put tape around the bits which gets chewed up and is not very accurate over time given how many holes I have drilled on the most recent of jobs.

Used these for a while now and i have to say they have come in handy, a little fiddly to get in position and tighten but once in place they work brilliantly

I had to do a job requiring dozens of holes in polycarbonate and a short pilot hole in the wood beneath. We have all used tape or other marking systems but the tape wears or marks get erased. These do not and have the most useful attribute in they stop you drilling when the set depth is attained. All done for a reasonable price

A basic set of steel collars, that screw onto a drill bit or similar device, for depth measurement. Its as simple as that.Previously I used a bit of sticky tape, but found this was not always suitable, especially with prolonged usage.

Does what it's meant to do

These collars were very cheap and I was quoted a delivery of approx 1 month, however they arrived early and work OK.I can't give such a cheap and cheerful item more than 4 stars. They are very simple and are made better than I expected.
