Handy pocket player

Mono not stereo
Like other reviews have said, this unit is not a stereo unit ( despite a mention of 'stereo' in the product pictures ). Straight out of the box this player seems solid enough. The tape speed was fine and did not need adjustment ( checked using a speed reference tape). Azimuth was also okay, although I probably will 'tweak' it at some point. Playback through headphones is okay but as this is a mono device there will not be any stereo separation ( just in case you didn't know already). Playback through the speaker is okay also. Think of listening to something on your mobile phone speaker. I think this device would be well suited to dictation use.

Broken after only three week
Only had this item for just under a month and the play button does not work rendering the item useless. Very disappointing.

Not stereo, bad audio even for cassette player, won't record
The seller canceled my order stating that they were out of stock, then immediately re-uploaded the listing making it £20 more expensive with plenty of availability. The player is overpriced even at £30. The sound is mono despite advertising stereo, the sound quality is bad even for mono, and the record function doesn't work at all. Do not buy, if they reduces ithe price to about £10/15 it would accurately represent the value of the item. The only thing going for it is the built in speaker.
