ChordC-Stream Ethernet Cable (1.5 metres)

I installed this cable between my Synology NAS and my router. This installation was on top of installing Chord C-Line RCA cables between my streamer and Amp. The c-Line RCAs were a wow. This cable was not so outstanding in the change it brought but the improvement was noticeable and welcome.I would summarise the improvement by saying that I have the impression that previously some frequencies / instruments were traveling through the old cable better than others. Now the sound appears more complete. Background instruments had more presence (e.g harpsichords) and the stage appeared better balanced.I'm wishing I had gone all in on the clearway. I will if / when I upgrade my kit.

Bought these to connect router/NAS and Switch/Streamer in a fairly high end hifi to see if there was an effect on the sound. Being somewhat sceptical that ethernet cables could affect sound i was very surprised at just how much better it is with these cables. Bass is much faster/tighter and to end much cleaner. The whole sound carries an extra bit of weight.On the downside, the RJ45 plugs are very loose fitting (its like they are slightly smaller than standard) so initially there was no connection when i first plugged them in and the slightest wiggle of the cable breaks the connection.Update: Item was returned for replacement and the new cable fits a lot better

No idea why, well maybe a theory, but it works. Worth a punt due to relatively low cost and was astounded at the improvement. Before you post.....rubbish....snake oil...and don't be daft please remember you can't comment unless you have tried something similar.Current theory is that it's effecting the circuit as any cable acts like an aerial thus introducing noise into the system, better cables improve on this. Another theory is that packet data is lost with lower spec cable.Whatever the reason it's an improvement.

Just bought a new streamer so thought I would treat myself to a Chord Ethernet cable. All but my hdmi cables are Chord so I know they make a difference. I'd been using the cat 6 cable included with the streamer for a couple of days so knew how that sounded, I installed the well made Chord and the sound was more musical straight away. Not night n day difference obviously but for £40 I feel it was worth it.

Excellent product - was using beklin cat 6 cable bought from amazon and wasnt getting the throughput for gigabit (might be a fake as the other belkin cables I have seem to be able to reach the bandwith) - so purchased this cable and straight away saw the difference.Same with their hdmi range - was using audioquest and was getting lag for 4k - with the chord one no lag whatsoever.

Worthwhile buying if you are a real Hi Fi enthusiast. I wouldn't say it makes a substantial difference but certainly improves the overall sound quality.

Da sage nochmal einer, Digital Kabel machen keinen Unterschied. Dieses schon. In Verbindung mit einem Naim Streamer bekomme ich echtes High End. Auch mit MP3 und Internet Radio.
