I have an 8lb Maltese whose 3-year old winter coat is a bit worn. I bought her one last year that was a different style and made by a different manufacturer; however, it didn't work out because the manufacturer's measurements were way off. I was pleasantly surprised when I put this coat on her and it fit perfectly. My advice is to follow the size chart and worry more about neck and chest girth than length.I can't say enough good things about the coat itself. The material on both sides is of good quality, the stitching is sturdy and will last, and Lexi looks so darn cute in it. She loves her fleece blankets so I knew she would love having the fleece up next to her skin. It'll be perfect for the cold, drizzly days we have in the fall and the cold, snowy days in the winter.When she eventually wears this coat out, I'll make sure to visit this seller again!

My 8 pound Maltese was very happy to put this on. I ordered a small and it fits very well. The chest velcro fits perfectly, and the Velcro that goes around her rib cage is a bit too long, but still Velcro’s together. I might add another Velcro dot to secure it. The inside is such a soft fleece, and she seems to be nice and warm. The only thing I wish it had is a hole or metal clip for her leash and harness. For the price and quality, I’m very happy with it. Cookie is too :)

I had ordered the 2XL at first for my girl. She's a boxer, but she's solid, about 83 lbs, which yes, I know, for a girl boxer is big. Anyway! The 2XL fit around her neck. But, the straps for her girth were tiny, I could barely, barely get it around her. I debated whether or not to just add more velcro, but was like, "why would I do that? I just bought this, measured and these straps are way too short", so I returned it. The 3XL (don't judge my girl) arrived and it fits. The front strap is good, fits perfectly, and the odd thing is the girth straps are very long. Like, between 2XL and 3XL is probably 10 extra inches of velcro. So, honestly, I may cut off some of the girth velcro. Regardless, the 3XL was the way to go, and she loves it. It's very cute, the inside is nice and soft and the reflector is great. Good luck with sizing - I thought I did it right, and maybe I did, but the straps are funky.

Perfect fit, very vibrant color, love the design has a soft liner, lots of compliments the first time my lil one wore it out. Will be ordering one for my co worker.

I have tried many different coats over the years, and I’ve never found one that I really liked.Not only is this coat affordable, it is semi-waterproof (haven’t tested thoroughly in the rain, yet) and keeps the snow and sleet off of my dog’s coat.One side is made up of a fleece like substance and the other is the waterproof side.It is reversible.The Velcro adjustments are perfect! I have lost two coats because, over time, the Velcro just wouldn’t hold up.I’m quite certain, if cleaned for hair, this would never be an issue with this coat!I had to struggle for a brief second - just in surprise- because the Velcro was that strong, when I took the coat off the first time.My dog is 23 pounds, thick in the chest and medium long in the body. He is part Lhasa, Schnauzer and Yorkie.The medium works perfectly for his size!There is some flexibility in the sizing, which I appreciate!I’m simply happy I finally found a coat that keeps the snow and sleet off, is warm, protects from the wind, has secure Velcro straps and fits!

This cute, soft & very flexible jacket fits my mini dachshund, Henry, perfectly. I will give you his measurements so you can compare the fit for your four legged friend. Henry has a 10” neck, is 12 inches long from neck to his bum & has an 18” chest at its widest. He is a senior, bit over weight mini dachshund. I love this jacket for him. He looked very comfortable in it & had full range of motion in it. I love that it doesn’t have the tricky leg openings that dachshunds are experts at getting their legs out of. Then the are stuck because they can’t walk right or go up or down stairs. THIS JACKET IS MINI DACHSHUND APPROVED! I will add some photos tomorrow. The top of the coat is waterproof vinyl type material with wide reflective stripe down the back. There’s also a cute reflective puppy paw appliqué on one side of the hind quarter. The inside of the jacket is a really, really soft polar fleece with a camo print on it which Henry loves because he is a badass male dachshund slayer of squirrels, bunnies & frogs. He thinks it looks very masculine. The jacket has a thick, softly padded inside lining. It’s a very warm jacket. It’s also reversible so when he wears in inside the house on real cold days it feel real soft when he sits on my lap or when I pick him up. The strap which wraps around Henry’s waste does not interfere with my Wieners’ well, um, wiener. That is the most important feature of any male dogs’ clothing, as you know. You cannot cover the wiener! I almost forgot, I bought a SIZE MEDIUM. This is a great little jacket. I highly recommend it for a mini dachshund! I enjoy writing honest reviews for my fellow Amazonians & I hope you find this review helpful. REMEMBER - always cover your WIENER (dog).

This is a nice coat for the dog, but I had to give it only four stars because it is not very heavy at all. We live in an upstate NY area, with very cold winters. I wanted this for our Pomeranian because it is very cold. I especially wanted it to cover his chest where his long hair picks up snowballs and ice. This has no chest coverage at all. It has a thin velcro closure at the neck and just a piece of 2" velcro around the chest. So, it provides no warmth except to his back. If you live in an area where the temperatures are not that cold, this would be fine. It is a sweatshirt material against the dog and it is not very thick. The outside is nice and waterproof, but the coat itself is thin. The size is good for a male dog, the size small fit our Pom. I have provided pictures. If you want to use this coat for snowy and very cold areas, it is not adequate for that. For areas where you have cold rainy weather, it would be OK.

This coat look so cosy on the ad so I ordered one for our pooch.It has arrived all crumpled up and the red material is just a cheap thin layer of what looks like nylon. I have no idea if it will be waterproof or not... it is so shoddy looking. Not as expected for £20 or so. It took quite a while to arrive.Would not recommend this brand at all.Very disappointed

Very flimsy, little warmth, cheap fabric so returned. Not worth the price.
