best sourdough jars for beginners!!
i love these jars - they are a great size for starters & i love the little fabric “hats” you put on for when you keep it out to rise overnight! i had to buy 2 and im considering buying more for presents to give people who might want to start sourdough! oh! and it comes with a cute spatula that you can take the silicone top off and use to stir the starter which i love. and it has a little temperature sticker that you put on the jar and it actually reads the temperature and shows it by color. plus the little rubber band that you can change to show when you last fed it. i simply love these jars!

Perfect home for a sour dough!
I was overly ambitious! This is a great home for a sour dough! But a sour dough is a living organism and requires feeding! This jar helps with all the necessary things to keep your sour dough happy. But be prepared to make a lot of baked goods!

Nice product; glass is thin
This is a nice item but the jar glass is thin. I loved the size of the jar and the wide mouth makes it easy to add ingredients. My jar broke easily while I was soaking it with a metal spoon inside. A traditional quart jar is more heavy duty and not as prone to breakage.

Love it! Useful for Your Sourdough Beginnings
Love, love, love these! The wide mouth makes it easy to pour in pre-measured dough and water, as well as trying to scoop out sourdough discard. Having the cloth cover is intriguing - better to have it rather than having bugs and to provide some (safe) air exchange.I haven't included the temp strips to the jars, as I do (more often than not) throw the jars in the dishwasher for sanitary reasons and aggravating build up. (Note: Company only suggests handwashing, but for me - there is only so much I can handwash and feel confident in re-using.)

Highly recommend
I love the size of these containers. They are perfect for feeding the starter and storing in the fridge. They don't take up as much room as the wide mouth jars. The feeding tracker band is extra handy to remember when it was last fed! These would make great gifts for new sourdough entrepreneurs!

Easy assembly
After washing and drying, it took only minutes to set up. The instructions are mostly images, so easy to follow. The band is very helpful in watching for growth.
