This pickguard fits just like the factory one.I have a black 1996 American Standard Jazz that came from Fender with a white pickguard. It was great for formal gigs. Now that I don't do those anymore, I changed the look with this black/grey pearly one from Musiclily. It looks great.Also, the seller shipped it very quickly in a very nice padded envelope.I have had problems with aftermarket scratch plates before where the holes didn't line up properly or the edges weren't cut exactly to the proper shape and looked strange. But this one looks like it came from the Fender factory. Perfect!

I bought this pickguard to replace the one that came on a Fender Standard Model (made in Mexico) Jazz Bass. I bought the bass used, and it has more than its fair share of finish scratches and other wear, so I balked at paying for an authentic Fender pickguard and went for the much less expensive Musiclily version instead. It's a nice-looking pickguard, and it will work well enough for my needs, but the fit is not perfect. Specifically, the corner that runs up against the chrome control plate doesn't quite line up with the plate, and a couple of the screw holes seemed to have been drilled very slightly off target. But: I got the pickguard onto the bass without too much trouble, and I don't think anybody would notice that the pickguard was slightly off-kilter near the control plate unless they were looking *really* closely.So: a pretty good value for the money, but if you're looking for an exact fit or something cosmetically flawless, you might consider something pricier.

Will not fit my 2013 American Deluxe Active Jazz bass. As you can see the black original pick guard is quite smaller than the one I ordered. It seems wellBuilt and even comes with screws that are much shorter than the factory kind. Will be sending back.

I was looking everywhere for a pickguard that would fit my American professional ii bass. I bought a fender modern tortoiseshell pickguard for like $40 and it fit but I didn’t like the coloring. I ended up ordering 2 of these because they were so cheap and they look and fit great. I like them so much more then the fender ones!

Scratches very easily, holes don't line up straight and it doesn't fit at the neck properly. Going to re-order and pay for a genuine Fender one now. 👎It is a 1996 standard jazz bass

Second time buying a Musiclily pickguard, once again I'm extremely pleased with the product and the results. My 2006 Fender US Highway One Jazz Bass has the truss rod adjustment at the bottom of the fretboard so the pick guard needs that spot routed out. This one worked great and love how the Black pearloid changes the look of my instrument. Easy upgrade!

I was excited to see that other said this pick guard fit a Squire Jazz Bass, but unfortunately it doesn't fit my Jaco style fretless model. The control plate was about 1/4 inch too close to the neck, causing an overlap with the pick guard. Too bad, because it is a very nice looking one.

This was a great value and made my bass look twice as awesome without shelling out for the fender brand one. Looks exactly the same and fits perfectly on a new ish fender player series jazz bass.

Screw holes perfectly aligned with my 2012 American jazz standard, plate itself looks and feels as good as the original too

The dimensions/measurements of the screws are not correct, the pick guard screw openings don’t fit the screw openings on the guitar itself. So disappointing and frustrating because I ordered from the UAE and it took forever to deliver and now it’s useless
