Sturdy puzzle. My Grand Daughter who is 20 months loves it.

We've been having good luck with the Montessori toys we've tried lately with our toddler. She's very active and needs toys that allow her to problem solve, arrange things, and basically always be moving. This one does that, and offers different ways of using it.I will say that the (complete) lack of instructions in ours made some aspects of this challenging, but at her age none of us really cared. Kids will usually find a way to use any toy, and she has.You can use this for math, and as she grows we might do that. But for now, she likes to sort the sticks and flat pieces, and stack them on the corresponding pegs. For this price, and with the amount of items included, we think it's a totally fair deal. It even packs up rather nicely.We recommend this!

Well made with very sturdy construction; much better than similar plastic toys! Really helps my 1 year old work on hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills but kept my older toddler entertained as well.

This Montessori busy board toy is great. My 4 year old granddaughter cannot get enough of playing with the Montessori toys. The puzzles the hand eye coordination it teaches. Very distinct pieces. Great sensory toy.

My daughter loves these toys! She like to play with them, they are very sturdy and nice colors.

The base comes apart which I don’t enjoy and the toy is small. It’s ok and my one year old likes it enough but once the base comes apart when playing loses interest

As an early elementary teacher, I love that solid wood toys have come back, so I was pleased to find this one. I truly do love that it has a smooth, finished wood surface, and that it allows a young child do a WHOLE lot of exploring since it has a wide variety of activities. Those activities encourage a little one to build, stack, and thread as they focus on several skills - matching shapes, matching colors, eye/hand coordination, and counting - as well as a place to work on number sentences with "=" "-" and "=" For a self contained toy, that is a lot ("self contained" in that it all happens on one cart and the pieces all store in one bag). That said, I felt it tried to do too much in one item - or perhaps it just felt too much, too complex, for a 1-3 year age level if intended to be for play. If I can keep track of its many pieces, however, perhaps I'll take that back - perhaps it will be useful to pull out when working on addition and subtraction sentences and needing manipulatives for practice when that stage comes.
