A far superior knife.
Solid. Gives much better control and function. The locking feature makes it totally superior to the cheap plastic knives. The sharper blade angle is better as well.

Best knife? Hmmmmm. Here's my opinion
Great little knife. Is it the best as they say? Here's what I think.. The knife works as Great as any knife of it's kind, as it should because it's mostly about the blade when it comes to the cutting part. Where it beats other knives, is in the design. It just feels great in the hand and is easy to use and control. But the design is also it's weakest point at the same time. To retract the blade, you have to unscrew the end cap every time, when working quickly, this isn't a reasonable option. So, for a window tinter or car wrapper, it isn't the best choice. But I do find great uses for it in other applications where I don't need to quickly expose and retract the blade. To be the best knife, it would need to auto retract with a button and auto hold when you push the blade out. Only then could it be worthy of the name of best knife

You'll want to use it for everything, buy more blades!
I love this knife!!! I had a minor issue with the first one and the company was absolutely fantastic about it, I can't speak highly enough of them. This is a super comfortable knife regardless of the crafting you're using it for, and the swap to an aluminum body was such a game changer for me. I thought the standard plastic version of this was functional and easy to use but this one blew that out of the water. Excellent design, easy to keep clean and replace blades when it's time Cap is large enough to keep track of it easily when it's needed. I'd love to see an option later on to come with more blades out of the get go but it's okay that it doesn't, that definitely isn't a game breaker; the ones that come with it are sharp and ready to go without issue and it's quick to get more.

Everyone should have one!
Hands down, this is the best blade I've ever used. The weight is perfect, not too heavy and not so light that you can't be accurate with your cuts. The blade breaks off easily and straight, not like those cheap ones the break off a piece of the next one too. The locking system is top notch, you tighten it by twisting the end. It's not just one of those that clicks when you slide the blade out, then loses it's lock when making a cut. Word of advice, its very sharp and will slice through skin like butter if youre not careful (i know this from personal experience, but it was absolutely from being careless) Definitely recommend.

Good, with a significant issue though
Nice heavy weight blade holder that fits your hand well, blades are very sharp. But there is a terrible system and instruction for snapping blade tips off and that is to use the plastic cap. It won't work and is a bit dangerous. The plastic cap will break right away if you try to use it to snap off blades and the blades do not snap off at the score mark. They need to address this before I would recommend it as a buy.

Excellent utility knife
I'm the one who will cut myself putting a utility knife and blade together. Not with this one. There is a nice security clasp on it so you dont have to touch the blade when opening it for use. It also locks the blade in place. Very sturdy. The metal frame is a nice weight and the pen shape is easier to carry. Overall my pick out of a ton of utility knives.

Not Hardly
Best Damn Knife Ever Made? That's what it claims. It doesn't live up to that hype. And it all comes down to the red plastic blade gripper. First there are teeth on the inside of the metal handle that should engage with the red slider to give a positive locking point when extending the blade. This feature was clearly intended, it does not work. At all. This is a big fail. Second, this knife is intended to hold 30 degree high precision snap-off blades. Those blades have a hole at the back that should provide a positive engagement point for holding the blade secure. This handle (the red piece) does not actually engage with that hole. It just pinches the blade on both sides and relies on very little friction to hold it in place. This is not at all secure and actually dangerous. Plus the friction of removing old blades and replacing with new will wear this plastic piece down quickly, making it even more dangerous. These two failures mean the only way to positively secure the blade is by screwing down the locking screw making this holder a fixed blade holder. That may be fine for the home hobbyist, but these 30 degree high precision blades are the standard for vehicle wrap installers and I want a holder that will secure the blade and be quickly/easily retractable. That is clearly NOT this holder. You don't wrap vehicles with fixed blade knives. I expected better from Vvivid. I am thoroughly disappointed. The metal body, the powder coated finish, and feel in hand is what sold me on purchasing this in the first place. Those qualities are nice, but they're not enough. Definitely pass on this one. For less than half the price go with the NT Cutter A-553P and you won't be disappointed. Best Damn Knife Ever Made? Not hardly.

I don't write a lot of reviews but these vivid knives are worth the effort. They are made from quality steel, feel great in the hand and the price point compare to all the other plastic knives is the icing on the cake. The locking mechanism is amazing, sleek and solid. After I received the first largest one, I bought the full set of 3. The two smaller ones are similar, the red and black one has an extendable blade but you have to physically push the blade back in to retract, wearas the silver ones extend andnretract.with the buttons. Buy both silver ones for yourself, and buy a second set for a friend who appreciate top quality tools !a

Solid little knife. Heavy and a bit small in the hands. (I dont have big hands). Pros: Nice sturdy pry bar on the tip. Can double as a flat head screw driver Slim profile. Much thinner than an olfa blade. The adjustment knob has knurling (machined grip) that makes one handed operation easy Cons: Poor finish. Edges are sharp and need to be filed down. Thin profile gives the knife a poor fit in the hand. Getting a good grip doesnt feel good in the hand. The Small parts (4 pieces) that make up the adjustment knob can get lost easily. The adjustment knob is small. Tightening the blade down securely takes two hands whereas a can do that with an olfa blade no problem. Its a different take on a utility knife that, in all honesty, olfa has already perfected. It looks cool, but it lacks some of the simplicities and features that olfa already has. Will it replace my olfa? No. But its a good little knife that serves its purpose. The price is right regardless.

This is my favourite among the three versions that VViViD offers. The blades are easily replaced and the body is textued to help grip. I do not need a one-handed locking lever; the twister on this version is more than adequate and safer,

Worded as the best damn knife hit the blades could have been better , been using this for my vehicle wrapping and automotive vynal wrapping and it’s not great . Runs through blades too often .
