Did the job when my 5 month old Criterion dish washer stared to leak. OEM dragging their feet to get any warranty work done so I decided to fix myself. Cheap enough to repair with this seal and hasn't leaked since. Part for Samsung I installed it in a Midea MFG appliance since it has the same pump.

It's a motor shaft seal and it does what it is supposed to do.

My Samsung W80K5050UG dishwasher water circulation motor failed prematurely. I replaced the motor bearing (which was clearly the cause of the noise) and it worked fine for a month or two. Then the grinding noise came back. This time I prepared better and replaced that entire motor assembly and also replaced this seal. Reviewing it all, the reason the initial bearing failed was because it got water intrusion causing corrosion in the bearing. The second time was because the replaced bearing was not pressed into the housing tightly enough, but the same evidence of water was there. In the end, this seal was the cause, one of the springs was dislodged on one end of it. Replaced it with the new motor assembly and it's running like a champ now. Also, I greased the motor shaft and seal rubbing surfaces with silicone.

A little slow in shipping, but it was a perfect replacement for a leaky, broken old seal.

Identical replacement for my Samsung dishwasher model: DW80R5060UG. I replaced the bearings in the motor less than a month ago, and our dishwasher started making a grinding noise again so I took it apart to find the new bearings were already rusted due to water leaking down onto them. In the picture, the original is on the left (and it’s missing pieces and is damaged which was letting water fall onto the new bearings. This new seal was identical, fit good, and looked as if it had grease inside the shaft hole already. I of course replaced the bearings again. Dishwasher sounds like new again, will have to wait and see how this new seal holds up.
