Do not buy if you live in the UK this does not fit 3/4 BSP washing machine connections. Amazon should not promote this item in the UK. It is also shipped from the USA

Easy to install to the back of my Bosch washing machine, although had to use a spanner to tighten the supply hose to the unit (normally hand tightening should work but did not). While water hammer has not been eliminated completely, it has reduced.

Not for UK (EU?) washing machines. The washing machine hose fits correctly but when other end is screwed to the water tap or the washing machine it's still slack. Turn tap on, serious water leak. Reason; this is for hose connection ONLY, therefore washing machine hose fits fine but washing machine is not a hose connection, therefore leaks. Simple! This should be made clear in the listing description

Had to send them back because US threads are not compatible with UK threads. I could screw them on but not tighten them. Why sell them to UK buyers?

This water hammer arrestor does not fit British washing machine hoses. British hoses are 3/4" BSP (14 threads per inch); this device is 3/4" GHT (Garden Hose Thread, 11.5 threads per inch). GHT is used in USA and Canada but not in Britain. I sent these back and bought two Sioux Chief 3/4" BSP water hammer arrestors from Screwfix - they were more expensive than Amazon but they fitted my washing machine and dish washer hoses and did the job perfectly - no more banging pipes.

Just gone to fit these but both are faulty, the female thread stops short inside fitting so not sealing on seal. Tried to return for replacement but can’t as over a month??

Does not fit UK washing machines......should be clear in the description or just not sold.

These arrestor did a great job and they are very easy to place. Every time I used my washer it sounds like it was banned several times and after reading on Google, I found out that it was a problem with getting air in my water pipes leading to the washer. We attached these and we've had no trouble since.

Easy to install Do the job perfectly

I've used this for 2 seasons now and it has eliminated the pipes banging when my sprinkler timer would shut off. Without this, the pipes would bang so loud it would wake the entire household. Now, the taps shut off and you don't even notice! I hope it lasts for a long time.

They have the wrong thread for Australian use, don't buy these.

Reduced water hammer from LG washer by 80% at startup. Thereafter no hammer.
