It was raining and I couldn't be bothered . . .
. . . to go to a DIY store, so I ordered this on Prime and paid extra for my lazinessI needed a deep back box to accommodate a LAN front plate - to plug a LAN cable (pushed through a hole in the wall) into the back of.It would have been a lot less in a shop, but . . . you pay for what you get, but you don't always get what you pay for.But that aside, it was easy to break out the relevant back plastic panels I needed to remove to push the LAN cable through. It seems sturdy enough and well made and was easy to attach to the wall and covered the hole I'd drilled. Then the LAN front plate fitted flush to this, so I'm a couple of £s extra out of pocket, but it's done the job and I didn't get wet!

No screws is a problem
The box itself is good. Usefull knockouts. The problem I had was with the switch I was trying to fit to it, because my old screws didn't fit, the screws supplied with my new smart switch didn't fit, and in the end I had to go around randomly taking screws out of other fascias till I found one that would screw in to this box. This back box was recommended as the correct box for the smart switch I bought, but in reality it's not.

Better quality than expected
Bought this to terminate a LAN cable which I got out the back of a plaster wall by drilling an 8mm hole. Wife would have never allowed me to keep a cable just coming out of a wall. When I saw it was less than one quid with shipping I got my doubts, but it really surprised me how sturdy it felt when I got it. I mean, at the end of the day its just a plastic box, but still. The back holes are also covered with thin plastic sheets so you can easily puncture the ones you are going to use and leave the others closed.I got the thin 25mm one in purpose since it suited me best after checking my RJ45 wall plates would have enough room to be terminated. I was actually scared of having a huge box on the wall so this made it look much neater. My only mistake was that this one has rounded corners and my wall plate is flat squared, but I guess only the most meticulous inspector would notice something like that in a wall socket.Quite satisfied, other alternatives were ridiculously priced at X5-10 the price of this.

Price Listing Mistake
You should get 5 of these for £10.12 not just a single one - the price says £2.02 per item. It's a listing mistake, but when you order, one box is what you get. Also be aware they are 45mm deep external measurement, 40mm internal measurement. But solid and look good.
