This is for the 1TB SSD SFYRS1000G by Kingston Used this for video editing w adobe primer and the experience was blazing fast on my Gigabyte Z790 w a PCIE 4.0 m2 slot. Easy install and great performance for the price. I would definitely buy again but maybe the larger 2 or 4TB model. I've used Kingston for years and have not come across any failed SSDs or memory modules yet so I love this brand and trust their quality. I'll include test from JDiskMark 0.6.1 as reference. 9/2 - Added a 4 threaded read test to compare's its incredible multithreaded speed benchmark.

This SSD has TLC NAND memory (faster than QLC that is used in cheap and mid-range drives), has the largest pSLC-cache (1/3 of the drive capacity) among all the known consumer NVME SSD drives and has 1Gb DRAM cache. So, basically, you can't get any better than this. If you fill up the drive with large files to see the sustained write speed, it starts at 5-6+ Gbytes/s and then, as the SLC cache ends, drops to 1.5 - 2 Gbytes/s. If you keep filling the drive, at the end the speed will still be over 1 Gbyte/s. The average speed when filling the full drive (to 100%) is about 2 Gbyte/s, which is absolutely great. Keep in mind, the (in)famous CrystalDiskMark does not test such uses cases, it only emulates writing and reading a small file (even if you choose a large file size. CrystalDiskMark is a joke). That's why a lot of people will post insane speeds from CrystalDiskMark, but then, in reality, see much lower speeds when writing large files to the drive. This is not the case with this drive, because, as I said, it has fast memory, DRAM cache and the biggest pSLC-cache. The drive uses a reliable Phison controller, which is also used in some Crucial models and other good SSDs. Kingston guarantees the endurance of 1000 TBW (terrabytes written), which is a lot. Although, it doesn't mean the drive can't stop working sooner :) But I hope it will serve me for many years. Very highly recommended.

I tried a number of NVMe SSD drives in my mini PC, looking for a good balance between speed and temperature. My mini PC will allow a heatsink, but only a low profile one, so I'm limited as to how much cooling I can achieve in the tight case with limited airflow and no room for a larger heatsink. I tried the Crucial T700 and it was super fast, but it idled in the 60C range ran with any load in the 75C range. Way too hot for daily use. The WD SN850 is a good contender. Decent speeds and not overly hot, running in the 50s on average usage while providing adequate speed. But this drive is the best of both worlds. With real-world speeds in my PCIe Gen 4.0 machine being close 7000 MB/s, this drive is the clear winner. At idle it runs as cool as the upper 40s in my hot mini PC case with only a low profile heat sink, and under DiskMark stress loads, it maxes out in the low 60s. This drive is a clear winner for mini PC or laptop users who want speed without risking damage or thermal throttling due to excessive heat production under load. Especially for users of PCIe Gen 4 machines, this is about as good as it gets!
