Nespresso not recognising serial number, incorrect number of free capsules, European plug, chews capsules. Asked for a refund it’s defective

Good product. However it was advertised to have a EU plug. Arrived with a UK plug. There seems to be a lot of confusion around the plug type in the reviews. It was also advertised as having 16 pods included. Only arrived with 7. Product is perfect, new etc however deducting one star for inaccuracies in listing. For a product of this price, listing and deliverables should be accurate.

Ideally, it would be made clear in the blurb about the product that the machine comes with an EU plug. As the item is being sold in the UK it would be decent to provide an adaptor at the very least. Sadly I was so excited to buy this that I didn’t read the reviews first or I would have been prepared for all eventualities. Thankfully, we had two EU to UK adaptors at home. The fuse had blown in one and I had a bit of a panic attack thinking the machine was faulty but the second adaptor brought the machine to life. 7 Nespresso pods are included to get you started but you can buy compatible pods easily in most supermarkets. Instructions are simple and with good illustrations. Water leaked out the back the first time I used it, which I’m not used to experiencing with this model previously. If this continues I would likely return it. For £100 I expect a plug socket that is suitable for the country in which I’m buying the item and a leak free experience! Perhaps I’m asking too much! Disappointed but hopefully it will stand the test of time. Due to plug issue I’ve had to deduct stars.

Wish I had read the reviews before purchase. Machine purchased from Amazon UK. The delivered machine was EU standard, fitted with an EU plug. I have cut the plug off and put on a UK plug because I couldn't be bothered to return it, and there is no way I would use it through an adapter. Machine seems great. If it does fail at all, I'm sure to have a fight about warranty being invalid. Additional comment, 20/08/25 Tried to register the machine with Nespresso (and claim the £150 coffee vouchers). This is not possible - machine serial number is not recognised. Nespresso UK do not sell the DeLonghi machine (in the UK the Inissia machines are all made by Krupps. So the Amazon provided machine has no Nespresso warranty. As these machines are purchased from Amazon will Amazon honour the warranty (because quite often they simply try to defer to the product parent company). My previous Nespresso machine was purchased from John Lewis and came with a moulded UK plug with a 10A fuse. The Inissia is rated at 5.75A so the plug need the next fuse up from 5A, i.e 10A.

Delivered quickly and flawlessly. It's obviously basic, being an entry level model, but it works well and brews an excellent coffee. So far, I have tested it only with americano - the Starbucks House Blend tastes just like at Starbucks! Bear in mind that this is the international version, and comes with a non-UAE plug. The instructions are a bit cumbersome (little or no text, just images and diagrams) and require some effort to be deciphered.
