Sandy bags
Used them to stop water flooding my garage. Worked well. Bit tricky to get them filled with sand. I would recommend you get a friend to help you. Well made, will use again I suspect. With the ice caps melting I think it’s going to be a damp century.

Don't buy for flood defence as fall apart.
Bought these to fill with sand to stop water ingress during heavy rains to garage. Once wet the bags quickly started to rot. Now having to get up all the sand using spade as bags fall to pieces if you try to lift with weight in. Useless.

They will do the job expected of them. How long they last intact is an unknown factor. No time at all in flood conditions.
I filled the sacks with sand and laid them at the base of a river wall. The reason for doing that is because when the river is in flood it moves the river stones heaped against the base out into the river away from the wall. This is the first time I have done this and wonder how it will work out and whether I will need to do more. Time will tell. Since writing the river has flooded and remained in flood for 3 days. There was no sign of the sand bags whatsoever. Sand bags are obviously not the solution to my problem. Nevertheless I am still of the opinion that the bags themselves are of good quality and will do the job they are generally meant to do.
