Very happy with my purchase.
I have an 86 K10 with long tube hooker headers that was having heat soak issues with the oem design starter. I originally purchased a Powermaster starter from jegs but it was the wrong one, I needed the staggered bolt hole design. I mounted this starter and positioned the solenoid on the bottom. Removed it and put blue loctite on the threads and torqued them to spec per instructions. Reinstalled starter into place and torqued to spec which I believe was thirty some foot lbs. Ive had it on the truck for a few weeks now and its working perfectly. 383 stroker with a 700r4 transmission. Very happy with my purchase. Also, the instructions clearly state to not use a heat blanket, it will void the warranty, so don't waste your time/money ordering one, you don't need it.

Love it
Starts my high compression 327 in my cj7 with ease.. best part, i utilized all 3 mounting holes cause my last starter broke 2 and flew out in the woods.

Little Beast!
Starter arrived a day early which was nice. Came next day. It’s much smaller than the original OEM and much lighter. I was able to clock it so that the solenoid is away from the headers and heat. Very easy install. Did not need shims and it lined up perfectly. Cranks my high compression 350 with ease when hot vs the OEM that would drag and beg for help. Great product so far.

LIGHT AND POWERFUL
I installed this on my 13to 1 400sbc the gm starter just wasn't cutting it but this little starter turned the engine much quicker and allowed it to start quicker seem well made and durable will update in time

it does not fit after the research said it would.
Research said it would fit the 1995 impala. i purchased it on 11/25/20. i had no reason to think that it wouldn't work. i attempted to install it o 4/9/21. The bolts line up as they should. The pinon does not even get close to the Flywheel. go figure. it is about 1 inches away. i lined it up against the old busted starter and there is an offset. I reached out for help from the seller but Amazon said my correspondence was invalid for some strange reason. I need a resolution to this issue. hopefully someone will see this and offer a solution. did i make the mistake? IDK

Great Starter!
Very powerful starter that turns over my 572 Chevy very well. It does not get heat soaked and it is clockable to clear headers.

Failed
This starter worked fine for a month. I have driven the car a dozen times. The starter started making a terrible sound and this is what I found. It only has a 30 day return. Bad news.

fits 1981 corvette 350
just installed today, so can't talk about long term...fired up immediately....unit is about half the weight of the stock starter...also smaller, so has better clearance from the exhaust...ignition and power connectors are much more easily accessible (from underneath) than on the stock starter, but are way too close to one another, so be extra careful not to short them together...the stock heat shield doesn't fit the new starter easily, so i left it off (instructions say not to use a heat wrap with the new starter, but a metal shield is ok)....the ignition connector post is a little thicker than on the stock starter, so i had to use a small round file to open up my wire connectors just a bit...anyway, so far, so good...we'll see...
