Great glue for book nooks
Great glue. Tacky so can move pieces into position easily and sets quickly. Clear finish so great for book nooks.

User friendly
This is perfect craft glue, especially as it allows movement for a few seconds before 'grabbing', so if you need to reposition anything slightly, or even remove it completely, it can be done. The glue dries clear, and holds thick card very well. I will be constructing a book nook next week, which is the main reason for buying it, and I'm confident that it will do the job.

Good with yarn
Its a good glue for crafting with yarn. I make crocheted decorations and some embelishments can't be sewn on. Ive ordered this glue a few times now

good quality glue and keeps the fabric and heavy paper pages stuck together
A very effective glue for fabrics and ensures that the fabric will stick to a heavy paper page as in a book

Excellent strong clear bonding glue for models - watch out for the strings though
I bought this along with Aleenes tacky glue to help with the construction of book nooks. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. The tacky glue is OK but really only works for wood to wood interfaces - it is a PVA adhesive and this is their area of strength. It gives the appearance of working but once dry, items which are non-absorbent easily pull apart. The Beacon glue is very strong and works really well when gluing for example plastic parts to painted surfaces and particularly if there is a part of the project that needs to be reinforced - once the Beacon glue has set it is very strong indeed. However it does string very badly and that makes it quite difficult to use - you dont want to assemble some intricate pieces and fine strands of glue all over the place, particularly on clear plastic windows for example. So in use you have to develop a means to glue an item with one hand whilst pulling away the string with the other.... and remain vigilant in case a strand has escaped your notice. I use a tiny LED light for close inspection. For my money, the Beacon wins in most situations of model assembly, just dont use it on a part which you might need to ease or dismantle - you are unlikely to be successful once it has set!

OK, but didn't suit my use-case (gift-wrap)
This glue is clear, isn't runny, so it won't run down a sheet of paper, and does indeed adhere almost immediately, but in my experience the bond wasn't very strong even after waiting a couple of minutes. I experimented with a thin layer and a thick layer, and I could still peel the pages of paper apart after a couple of minutes. In contrast, a typical impact adhesive, also known as an instant contact adhesive (that comes in a red tube with white lettering) has a yellowish colour, is about as thick, but is slightly more stringy, seemed to make a bond slightly quicker when gluing paper together. I then tried an adhesive that comes in a white pen-shaped applicator with green end-caps, it is a type of mono liquid glue. One end has a fine nozzle with hole. The other end is a broad tip. That glue is slightly runnier (but still thick enough to stay where you apply it; about the consistency of PVA wood glue) but surprisingly bonds to paper within seconds once you place the other sheet of paper on top and gently press down, and if you try to peel it apart, the paper layer tears off. For my use-case, which was gift-wrapping using paper, the glue that bonded within seconds to a permanent bond, was ideal, because I don't want to hold down paper flaps for minutes at a time. So, unfortunately, I can't say the Beacon glue suited me at all. I will try other use-cases in future, but for paper-to-paper quick permanent bonding, this wasn't the glue I was looking for.

Best glue I've used for crafts and model building.

This is a great glue for heavier papercraft projects. But the odour is strong and ventilation should be used.
