5 Astra Superior Platinum razor blades

Based on other reviews I bought this 5 pack to test as I was looking for something that was sharper, had better longevity and would provide a closer shave than what I was previously using. THESE ARE EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I break double edge blades in half to load into my leaf and twig razors. I shave my head and my face at the same time every other day. The blades I was using before the Astra would only give me two complete shaves, twice on my head and twice on my face, before dulling and had to be thrown away. The previous blades would also pull the hairs on my neck while dulling and cause painful rash and bumps. The previous blades gave me a close shave but not as close as I liked.Before writing this review I completed my second full shave. That's twice on head and face. The Astra blades were as sharp as they were when first loaded into my leaf and twig razors. STILL gave me a super smooth, super close shave as they did with the very first shave. I will now be ordering the 100 pack. If you are looking for a premium shave WITHOUT the premium price. THESE ARE IT!

I personally get a significantly closer shave with the Feather blades. I wouldn’t know at the time I shaved but the evening I shave with these blades, I have stubble. With the Feather blades, I have a BBS face and don’t detect stubble until late morning/noon the following day. The cost of Feather blades is higher so your call — these are highly personal decisions — you can only know by trying a 5-pack — YMMV.

LOVE THESE BLADES THEY ARE MILD AND SHARP THEY GO GREAT IN MY VIKING BLADE CHIEFTAIN JR. RAZOR.
